|I have been researching our family's genealogy for over 24 years now. I've lost so many loved-ones in the past 10 years, that I want to assure their names are permanently recorded in cyberspace. Who knows, perhaps 50 to 100 years from now, someone of my lineage will want to know about them as I am searching for those who've gone on before us.|

|Mary Ann Loss||RE: Carey Perry|
Hi there, Veterans Day is Tuesday. So, if he puts you off just a little bit, don't be surprised. And get all glowy on him and tell him how much I appreciated him helping us document all of Raleigh National Cemetery earlier this year. He likes to know they're doing a good job. And he's a retired Marine. Good luck. Mary Ann

The number I have is 252/637-2912. And I worked with Dean Randgaard who was quite helpful. I enjoyed his can do attitude. Hope that helps, MA

I have all the photos of the tombstones. I just have not had time to get them out there, so if there is someone you really want, just let me know.
|John Evans||RE: Oakdale Cemetery|
I saw that and I am trying to figure out what cemetery that they are talking about. I know for sure they are not in the one in Wilmington. I wonder if it meant Oak Grove?

Hello Sandi Danielle. Smart G. Snow is my ancestor. I am interested in conversing with you. I have several questions that you maybe able to answer. I have been using ancestry.com and census records as well. It look as though you have tons of info to share. Hope to hear from you soon!!
|Mary Ann Loss||Carey Perry|
Hi Sandi, Would you do me a favor and call the cemetery management to determine where Carey Perry is buried in Raleigh National Cemetery? We did a thorough scrub of this cemetery right before Memorial Day earlier this year and really thought we had caught all the burials. Thanks, Mary Ann
|R Sanders||Samuel Williams|
Wow - I just happened upon the Roanoke Chapel baptist Church cemetery earlier today, and snapped quite a few pictures. I have several Williams graves, but didn't get Samuel's. I wish I'd seen this before I went, but I had no service in that area, and was unable to check here while I was on site. I live 3 hours away, but if I go back to the area before your request is fulfilled, I will claim it,myhey, and get the picture for you.

What exactly do you want me to add? There is already a link to Wilson's wife and a mention of his father James.

It probably took you as long to send the three separate "old-style" SACs as it did to enter the data using the drop-down menus--and maybe longer. The additional benefit is that using those drop-down memories eliminates the possibilities of transcription errors in the spellings of birth and death places.
But the greatest advantage to you, the sender, is that for unresponsive memorial managers you no longer have to keep copies of your SACs, wait 30 days, then send them to Edit. After about 20 days the automated system accepts them automatically.
It is true that I have no way of verifying the accuracy of the info people send--but that has always been true. Anybody could cite such-and-such a record, but with their owwn bogus data inserted...if they were so inclined. But I assume that most people digging into Family History--and especially their own--are concerned about getting things right.
If some errors are made--as of course they ultimately will be--I also assume that in time some friend, family member, or other interested person will come along and correct the mistakes.
