Love Carole Lombard and consider myself a devoted fan. I am a fromer air traffic controller with the U.S. Air Force spending a year in Vietnam. I love baseball (Go White Sox) great movies and the the Circus.
great to hear from you and thanks for your kind message. I am impressed, that you visited Glenn's home in Beverly Hills and met his son Peter. I am sure, you enjoyed your visit and learned alot of new facts about Glenn Ford's life. Peter was not so impressed (like the biography said) about his father, but he had never money problems and his father took care of him. Well, nothing is 100 % correct in life. As I saw, Peter is selling a lot of items from Glenn and he also want to the sell the home on Oxford Way. Times are tough, but maybe in the near future there will be an opportunity?!
So, my day is starting now and I will be busy over the whole afternoon.
I visited Glenn's Gravesite in April this year, posted also a few pictures on "findagrave" site, which never got published. I don't understand why all this photos never went through? I can only guess, that some people (like myself) are not important enough to give them an opportunity for sharing with all the other fans of this actor. Well, this is reality and I was negatively surprised to learn about it.
thank you for your newest mail and the direction to the crypt. Did you also take a picture? I would love to see it, if you don't mind. I tried to find something in newspapers (L.A. Times) or in a magazine, but unfortunately could not find anything. His movie Cimarron came out last months on DVD and I was ordering it on Amazon.
I would like to know if you have had the opportunity to visit Glenn's grave in Santa Monica? I would love to go in the near future and I am interested to get some information from people they took the journey? Of course, I am a huge Glenn Ford fan.
Thank you in advance for a quick update on my question.
