Emma Ryer photo I am loosely related to the Ryers (same great grandfather) and would love to have the photos. I also belong to the Dallastown Historical Society and am a member of the church where they are buried. I would like to scan them for myself and then donate them to one of the other organizations. How can I get the money to you? Catherine Bankoske
RE: Danville Wellington Yeager Photos The one m appreciate has a SP which is a spigot at the top of the cemetery (up on the hill). The center if the cemetery is a tree. There is a road that runs through it.
The other map is the sections to the left of the main cemetery.
RE: Danville Wellington Yeager Photos Bill, I got a plot map of the cemetery from the Montour Co. Genealogical Society and started looking at it. I found that it is not easy to follow but I mapped out the sections. There is a website:
That site has the names of the people buried there and the plot number. I used this to search and find the people for Find-a-Grave photo requests. I then marked them on the plot map and set out to search and photograph the stones.
Your Wellington and Hannah Yeager are in plot A 468
Are you local to Danville? I have copies of the plot maps that I can get to you or mail to you. The Webcemeteries site a great resource to find people at the cemetery. It does take a bit to understand how the cemetery is laid out.
RE: Huntzinger-Rothermel Headstone it was near the back side near the loop. Section U Plot 138. If you come in from the back side past the back office / garage building go straight, you will see a monument for Daniel Bates, tall one with angel on top. stand in front of that monument and look about 45 degrees to the left. you should be able to see the cross that is behind the monument. I was hoping it was going to be a monument with full names and dates but Huntzinger-Rothermel was it. Emma Rothermel was my 2nd Great Grandmother. I am assuming you are connected to Charles.
