UPDATED JANUARY 25, 2015:|
HAPPY NEW YEAR BLESSINGS AND PRAYERS TO EVERYONE! I want to mention that if you notice I am not personalizing my tokens with messages very often right now, it is not out of laziness: My vision issues continue to keep me offsite routinely, and when I am on here, I am having to make changes in my previous visiting patterns, etc. Know that even though I may not leave a personalized message right now, my tokens are still sent with love and hugs, and I hope to be back to my old routine asap.
And THANK YOU to friends who made it a point to come back online since I have been sick, to keep my pages visited - and to also pay respects to good friend Beth Bailey, whose husband passed away right after Christmas. I greatly appreciate their kindnesses and loyalty. =)
Here is a request for visits and tokens:
A friend just reminded me to highlight a name from site friend Robert Fowler's pages; Robert has done wonderful and extensive work in researching our military men and women, and if you have time, please link to more of his memorials after visiting this HERO:
Stephen D. Nagy
...and here is another sweetie pie:
Gabriel James Novak
This HERO is one of three brothers lost to WWII, over a period of less than two years - I can't even begin to comprehend how the family/parents of these young men must have felt. =( Mr. Herbert has an ANGEL DAY on January 26th:
Philip Wynne Herbert
Here is another little angel, her photo is just beautiful:
Bonnie Bell McKenney
This gentleman is in need of tokens and visits, please:
Mervyn Francis 'Merp' Howard
Another HERO has an ANGEL DAY on January 15th:
Corporal Jon-Luke Bateman
A HERO from WWI, this gentleman has less than ten tokens:
Private Joe Brooks
My brother Ron has a birthday on December 2nd, and I was asked to keep the link up to his page; THANK YOU for all of your thoughts and prayers for my family members. =) I just put a poem of mine on Ron's page that will tell a bit more about my brother's short time here, if you'd like to read it - it's - as Ron would have said - the cold as Chicago winter wind truth, and he was very brave to live through everything he did. Here is Ron's link:
Ronald Lucien 'Ron' Poynter, Jr.
Bio: My son Gannon and I live outside Los Angeles, but we are from Chicago/Jersey/New York; we have traveled extensively in our lives and are only off the road for now due to medical issues - but I sure hope to be able to hit the road again, someday. =) I am widowed, and I write for a living; I am very lucky to be able to work at home and therefore be with Gannon 24/7; he is seriously physically and mentally disabled, and most of my friends on here already know how I feel about Gannon...If I leave anything behind that is good, it will be because Gannon made me a better person. It is an honor to be his mother. We are interested in charity work and support Wounded Warriors, Make A Wish, Toys for Tots, The Huntington's Disease Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation; all programs for poverty and below poverty level families in America; Feed America, Books For Inmates, and more. We also have a soft spot for animal welfare programs, and sincerely believe the quote that "If you want to know a man's true character, study how he treats an animal." Lastly, I hope that my work on here will answer questions, bring reunions and pay tribute to those gone, but not forgotten.
"Pray for the dead, and fight like hell for the living." - MOTHER JONES

Dear friends Rhonda and Gannon,
Hope that this finds you both doing well. Sorry that it has taken me awhile to get to you. Hope that you and Gannon had a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. Thank you for the wonderful tokens that you have left for my loved ones. Wish that we had our computer working at the house. Now with the new job, it takes me forever to get to the library. Because of the weather the projects on the house has been put off.
Well Sweetie, time is up. Take care and God bless you both always.
