RE: Gunn's Church Cemetery / Friendship Methodist Church
Sorry, I do not know if any records are extant. I am pretty sure there is nothing at the church and it has been defunct as a Methodist Church for many years. I do know that it was being used recently by a Baptist Congregation. I don't know if any local families would have historical records but if there are any Dale Cox might know. I have never lived in the area where my Mother was born.

If there are any records they may be held by a State or National Methodist Archives, a State Library or Archives, or in the manuscript collection of a University by way of a minister's record book. It would like be listed by the Minister's Name rather than the church's name and could be in another state if the minister left the area and took the book with him to be donated later by his family to their favorite college collection.

Other places I would check would be County Histories in Jackson County and Henry and Houston Counties might gives you some hints on who the ministers were at different times. You could probably also pick up the minister's name for various period by reviewing marriage records of the period you are seeking information on.

RE: Thomas Family
Thank you for responding! I have yet to uncover where my Thomas line migrated from originally, but I am guessing England. I have only been able to trace back to Samuel Thomas (1774, Virginia - 1836, South Carolina). He was married to Susannah Johns (1790 - 1857, Pickens, South Carolina). Samuel may have come from Lunenburg County, Virginia.

I found this message board based on research of Samuel's Grandson Aaron M. Thomas (1849, Floyd County, Georgia - 1917, Thonotosossa, Hillsborough, Florida).

If you can help with any information, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
