Hello my name is David M. Atkinson. I was born in Vigo County. I was raised with 10 brothers and sisters, by our mother Norma Jean (Creasey) Atkinson. Our father was George F. Atkinson Sr. I married my Jr. High sweet heart Teresa G. (Michael) Atkinson. We have four loving children, and six beautiful grandchildren.
My wife and I started doing Geneology about May of 2008. We enjoy looking up our ancestors in our spare time when we are not working. I have worked for the Vigo County school corp. for the past 26 years. We have took several photos of the grave stones, we would like to learn about the person within the stone. If I have taken any photos and you would like to contribute to contact me at my e-mail. Thank you David! Atkinson,Creasey,Mead,Waldon,Hyde,Romine.
John C. Haun David, I would like to know if David C. Haun is David Chester Haun That was married to Clara Grindle, later divorced. They had a son named Joseph Haun.. John Chester Haun was born January 12, 1887 in Indiana.
Thank you for any information you can give me. Peggy Carrigan
Ruben Ivey Catlin I know what you mean about wanting to know about people. I Love trying to figure out who they were. Ruben Ivey Catlin, Ruben was the son of Chester A. Catlin in White County, Ill near Herald. Il. He was one of 18 children, my Grandfather was one of them. I have linked Ivey to his parents,(We all knew him as Ivey).
Thanks for putting the photo of his stone in so I was able to find him.
Beulah C. Wyatt at Roselawn Cemetery Thanks for the headstone photo, but curious that it says "Mother" above her name. Do you know if the cemetery has any info on file to confirm this? I believe on 2 Oct 1942 she married John Lester Belton in Vigo, IN, but I don't know of any children & why her maiden name on the headstone?
I would like to request transfer of Lewis E, Swafford #52320538 and Anna Lue Swafford # 52320476. They are my Great Uncle and Aunt and I would like to update their family links to the rest of their siblings and parents. If this is not possible, would it be kind of you if I could send you all the information so they could linked up with the rest of the family. I am thankful for any help you can offer and also thank you for your time dedication to Find-A-Grave.

Wm Arthur Shockey Could you transfer Memorial# 57388537 to me, this is my Uncle. He is buried next to his mother and stepfather (Edcile Keegan and Effie Gertrude Power Shockey Keegan.
"Shockey" this is what my Mom calls him, was crippled and died young of TB of the bone. My Grandparents didn't have much money, but they sent Shockey to a business school to help him find a job. My Grandfather bought a pool hall and Shockey helped him run the business. Shockey always admired a suit my Grandfather had. And when Shockey died my Grandfather went out and bought him one just like his.
James H. Frasier James H. Frasier was my great-great grandfather on my mom's side. I just happened on this site and found him. It was very exciting to see he was in the Confederate States Army, no one knew in my family of this to tell me. Thanks for your research and posting. Just last year '13 my mom and I came across Myrtle Hill cemetery in Rome, GA and my great grandparents are buried there,(didn't know until I read it here)William Jefferson Frasier (1872 - 1934)* Magnola Maggie White Fraiser 1876 – 1951 so we will go back and find those sites. My great-great grandmother was Louisa Frasier (1843 - 1924) married to James H Frasier and Louisa's mother was Roan Cochran Dickerson (1826 - 1908)(my greatx3 grandmother) and there was a picture on her page! Wow, I instantly saw family resemblance with her and my mom! She so looks of Indian heritage and my mom said, she think there is Cherokee heritage in the family, so I want to check into that. So very interesting, thanks again for posting
