The first person I looked up on FAG had two comments on it that were untrue and insulting. I felt bound to respond. I looked up others and felt it right to put in positive and helpful comments that would help readers to appreciate those who have gone before in the journey of life.|
I think this is a very good site. Thanks to all who have worked positively on it. The Bible quotations are from J.N.Darby's Translation.(I have put the Lord where it should be Jehovah in some instances,in case some might think I was a J.W.) I pray that they are appropriate and that they might be a comfort to those who read them. May God bless them all.
As I look at these stones many express Hope in the Resurrection of the bodies of the Saints by the Lord Jesus when He returns. Do not be Left behind at the Rapture. Read 1 Thessalonians 4 v13-18; in your Holy Bible.
When I say unto the wicked. Wicked man thou shalt certainly die: and thou speakest not to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thy hand. Ezekiel 33 v8
If anyone would like to use a photo or adopt a memorial, they are welcome. The photos are often taken in a hurry, I do not have much time. If any verse is thought to be inappropriate, I will change it. Remember the rich man in Luke 16 who said,"I have five brothers...earnestly testify to them, that they also may not come to this place of torment."

|Infoseeker||RE: St Martin Liskeard|
Hi Dave. I can't find any way to edit the church's locatio on findagrave. However, it easily comes up on Google as Address: The Church Centre/Church St, Liskeard PL14 3AQ, United Kingdom. I THINK the coordinates are 50.4538963,-4.4611206.
Thank you for the flowers and verse on my mother's memorial! It fits the kind of life she sought to lead.

This got me looking, and I did find the "Martyr's Mirror" online and they let you copy and paste if it's for historical purposes. I have started a virtual cemetery for mostly the Anabaptist martyrs, using the Martyr's Mirror as source. Very few of them are already on Find A Grave (which I found surprising, since I know a fair amount of Mennonites who work Find A Grave), so I'm entering them person by person. I think sharing things like this is a good testimony to real faith, and can be a witness. Thank you for your work! If you have a desire to transcribe to Find A Grave from the "Mirror", let me know, so I can check for possible duplicates. I don't mind someone else working with it as well. So many are not aware of this piece of history.
Found your page, and enjoy looking through your virtual cemeteries. I'm curious, did you find your Christian martyrs through Fox's book of martyrs?
Do you know if persons' stories listed in the Martyrs' Mirror are also on Find A Grave (we loaned out our copy, or I'd check)? Anyway, thanks for your thoughts and contributions, and especially for making a memorial to Mennon Simons!

hi david, i look for memorials that have no
headstones/photos or flowers and add to them
when possible to make them more personal. if
those brave men gave up their lives for us then
i can spare a few hours a day to make sure they
are not forgotten. thanking you. Laurin
