Bio and Links
Bio Photo Taphophilia (a passion and enjoyment of cemeteries) has been my main hobby since the late 1970's when I was a junior in high school. I discovered that cemeteries in and around Los Angeles were the best places to hide from truant officers. It was in these adopted sanctuaries that I began to appreciate my surroundings: the grounds, the headstones, the architecture, the artwork and most importantly, the residents.

In October of 2010, I founded The Traveling Taphophiles, a group that sets out once a month to visit cemeteries. Our travels have taken us as far as New Orleans. I'm fortunate to have met others that share my hobby and to have forged some great friendships along the way.

Once photos have been posted, feel free to use them as you wish - photo credit isn't necessary.

Happy Graving ~

Louis DuMort

I miss Chris with all my heart.

Rose Hills Memorial Park

Dear Louis Mata,

Thank you so much for the grave marker photos of:

Russell Earl Strine #142437212
Larry R Strine #142437566

These photos and your efforts are greatly appreciated!

I have a quick question for you, if I may.

When at this cemetery, would you happen to recall seeing if there was a wife's grave marker of Russell Earl Strine? Her name would be Ruth Beverly Strine.

I've not been able to find where (Ruth Beverly Strine) she is buried. It seems that since husband's (Russell Earl Strine)grave marker says Beloved Husband that she might be buried where her husband and son are buried.

Anyways, I thought I'd ask you since you might recall if there were a wife buried beside Russell Earl Strine.

Thank you so much for your help!

Rebecca Strine

Re: Allan D. MacIsaac
Dear Mr. Mata...Thank you so much for the photo of my Uncle Allan's memorial marker. Although he is buried more than 3000 miles away, Allan is always in our hearts and your photo enhances our memories of him. God bless you and the deeds that you do for others. Best regards...Hugh
