I have been doing genealogy for a number of years. I started when my father got ill with brain cancer. It became important to locate our family. I was able to give him a book on his family before his death. I became hooked so carried on From my own family of Shepherd, Hayes, Fry, Dubel, Harrington, Yancey, Grebner, Weisz, Weyer etc. to others like Ridgway, Hawkins|

No problem. I've been going through all the memorials for that cemetery. Lots of people make the exact same mistake.
I added the photo.

The point is if someone visits the grave, and sees the grave, and photographs it and they come to this site and want to search for Kathleen, they will not find her. They will see the grave says Kippley and they will come and search and cannot find her because you have Wipperfurth in that field. The search feature is not sensitive enough that it will pick up on the "Kippley" that you put later in the last name field. The last name field should not have any other words than the last name as it is listed on the gravestone. Here are the guidelines:

Per find-a-grave guidelines the surname field on the memorial should match that which is given on the gravestone. As I stated in my message to you, the name on the gravestone is KIPPLEY. Not Wipperfurth.

Yep I think Ellen told me she did. Sorry should have let you know that since she let me know and I forgot to forward that information.
|novakpack||RE: Family Trees|
I sure will. I have more of the ties up in Bison, Lemmon, Faith areas as that is where I grew up at. I am now in Whitewood. I do have a lot of relatives in the Sturgis area also. My grandparents were John and Emma Schell that owned Shady Rest Trailer Court for many years. Once I start adding the information on ancesty I may just send you an invite if you are interested and we can work on getting it on there together.

Sweet. Thanks for doing that. I have been sending out what I can find on the ones that don't have much information on them and know they didn't have the full obit.
|novakpack||RE: David Spiry|
You're welcome. Does that mean you have his fathers obit too or you are in need of it?
|novakpack||RE: Blaine Spotted Horse|
You're welcome. I am working on a project that I will be doing for ancestry with all the obits in SD, so I am searching and seeking as many as I can find and as I am doing that I am making sure that they are up on here too. I have a lot of family members I am not able to find so I am going to be doing a tree that has all of the information from the obits, so you may be getting more updates if I find them.

Deborah, thanks for the parental links for Bob. Did you know him or are you related ? My parents were friends of Bob since the 1960's... Michael
