Finding info on relatives or friends here can be very rewarding from a genealogical point of view for one. It can give you more leads! Posting memorials here has helped me find many living relatives as well. Many of which I never knew about! If you think your related, or have other info you can leave a message for me so I can contact you. |
If I need to fix an error or add info, click on the edit button in upper right corner of the memorial in question.
Just to clarify; Many of my memorials in Colorado cemeteries have Obits with "RMN" as the source. RMN stands for The Rocky Mountain News.

Greetings Scott, Faithie's husband died 1913 and suspect she remarried before she died in 1936 to Hext. Look at her daughter's memorial# 15514784. It has the death certificate that lists her parents as Simpson Holloway and Faithia Wilkerson. Best Regards, ja

Hi Scott, thank you for posting the pics!! Not sure how it happened, but this used to be a sandstone marker worn down by the years and had a typo, now a granite headstone is there with the same typo LOL. Either way, Lydia Bingaman was born in 1873, and Martin Bingman next to her is her husband. Let me know if you'd like some documentation:)

Hi Scott, love the documentation, thank you. I have two pics of William Myers, from books way back then and a 3rd of him on his farm (Myers Ranch), also I can tell you where his one grandchild and wife are buried. Let me know if this can be added? Thanks!
Oh, and he is William R Myers, the E is typo.......

Sorry to be so late in contacting you. I have been to Jefferson Barracks Cemetery and taken pictures of the back of Linzie Dwain Braddy's stone. It is blank. It has taken me some time to talk to the people in the office at the cemetery to see what the problem was. I don't like to leave things unfinished. They found out Linzie is the only one in that grave site. He is listed as being divorced. They could not find Beverly since there is no death date for them to look for. They said maybe she is buried elsewhere in the cemetery. If she was also a vetran that would be possible. If so, she may be under her maiden name. I am sorry I couldn't help you more. If you know more about her full (maiden) name, if she remarried, or if she was a vetran you can contact me and I will try to help you.
Doing some research on Phillip Hammond # 42627988 for a family member of David Reed, who was also killed on the same mission in 1944. Could you please contact me?

I just wanted to say thank you. I always heard I had an uncle that died "in the war", but that was all anyone would/could tell me.
You have a photo of not just his headstone, but his marker application.
I don't know how you found it, but at least I know more about my uncle.

Hey Scott Do you want to transfer #34216078 to me for Olof Nilson. Mine is 69879926. I am his great granddaughter. Let me know I have no idea how this works but Olof doesn't need two. Renee Lang
Thank you Scott, very sweet of you to say those kind words of my brother Todd! I really appreciate the thoughtfulness!
Yes, I've been quite bust with Riverside as of late.....so you'll probably see some more coming from me as well.
Thanks so much for your quick responses on edits, I greatly appreciate your time!

Thought I would run this by you.
J M Scott, Co A & F, 7 MO Cav; 12 MO Cav; 1901. Per headstone.
Found a James M Scott 58, int: 1891 in Blk 27, Lot 5. Per Riverside Cemetery Index Card.
Headstone Appl: James M Scott, Pvt, Co F, 12 MO Cav, d. 04 Jun 1891. United States Records of Headstones of Deceased Union Veterans, 1879-1903, www.familysearch.org
Not sure what the 1901 date is on the stone, unless James was re-interred in 1901.
What do make of all this?
