RE: Benjamin Tullis
My cousin's wife is a Tullis descendant. I've had access to that genealogy information. I've seen a picture of him in uniform. I just didn't know where he was buried. I never would have found him under that name on his stone. Thank you!

Please add my great great granduncle to your virtual cemetery for co H.,8th Iowa.

Find A Grave Memorial# 45766385

Services were held Wed.,Feb.10,1937 for the last of the Civil War veterans of Pocahontas Co., William A.Marther, at the Methodist Church in Rolfe. He passed away at his home Sunday night at the age of ninety years. He was born to Sanford and Betsy Lepper Marther at DeWitt,Ia. He was one of five brothers and seven sisters, all of whom preceded him in death. He was a private in Company H, regiment 8, Iowa Infantry. He married Hannah Jane Hutchinson in 1881 and had 2 children, Cora May (Mrs. Lew Howe) and Albert A. who died in infancy. Mrs. Howe was at his bedside at the last.

(The surname was originally Mather but for several generations in Iowa, for unknown reasons, it was also spelled Marther or Marthar.)

Addition to virtual cemetery
Dear sir - If you wish, please add Daniel Boone Lincoln (1847-1919) who is interred in Geneva Cemetery, Geneva, Nebraska. He fought in 1864 for the 44th Iowa Infantry, Company F. He has a memorial on A distant cousin. Thanks, Sean Walsh

Thank you so much for creating this page for what I believe is a great-great-great uncle on my mothers side. Just getting started here, so not quite sure of the exact relationship to myself. I do know he is a relative. My maternal grandmother's maiden name is (was) Bartholomew, and we have known about the mispelling on Ezra's headstone for some time. He also has a memorial in his place of birth vicinity which is Keosauqua, IA in Van Buren County. The next time I am back in Iowa, I will take and add the memorial photo. Once again, thank you so much. And IF you have any other info relating to Era I would really appreciate it if you found time to pass it along. Sincerely, Rich Williams

Barbora Beran
Hi Nadine,Added info to the Jan & Barbora Beran Memorial. Barbora is listed in the marriage records as having the birthday of Aug. 30, 1866 but the stone says the 29th. Barbora's maiden name is Stybe. My paternal grandmother is Marie Janda, her mom was Marie Bastyr. Rouda's & Beran's had something to do with our family either related through marriage or sponsors for my family. In the marriage record they are listed as John & Barbara. I added info to both memorials.Thank you for your kind comments.

RE: Ella V. Pickenpaugh
Hello there! I wasn't sure if I had responded to your thanks you note. I do the paper work, but Mark Brobst deserves the credit for the excellent photos. He got me back into actively searching thru the records, after many years of watching other family members do the heavy lifting!

It was the sense of adventure that FINDaGrave brings to those who can turn it into a treasure hunt! Now I have become an active crusader, to open up this world of Find & SEEK, to the young people in this region, as well as my siblings' numerous offspring, who saw genealogy as something that grandma did indoors. Besides, I have fun doing the research!

RE: Eldridge Temple Fite
I did notice the second Eldridge Temple Fite was born shortly after his uncle's death. I just didn't want someone to see the entire name and enter the wrong dates.

Thank you for your help.
