We work as a team: Russian-Danish family living in London. Having just completed a few years in the Middle East, we are moving to our next adventure in China. County-keepers for England. Being foreigners in the countries we live in, we are very interested in all Russians and Danes who found their last resting place away from their home countries. We will be grateful for any comments, advice and links to memorials. Thanks to this wonderful website we have found many friends all over the world and the amount of mails we receive increase all the time. We appreciate all the mails and ALWAYS reply but sometimes it takes longer than we would like to.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We prefer to get your questions and corrections through e-mail (use the EDIT tab in the memorial). Please include your own e-mail in case we need to write back to you.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!juliakeld @ gmail.com|

|Lancs||RE: Liverpool Cathedral|
Thank you for your reply.
I have contacted Peter Drysdale who was responsible for the inclusion of the photo. He has told me that for some reason it was included twice (as you said). He has also given me more information.

|Amanda||St Giles, Colchester, Essex, England|
Hello Julia & Keld,
One of my ancestors was buried in St. Giles, Colchester, Essex, England. I am not sure if it is the same place as you have recorded Sir James Buchanan (1849-1935) Find A Grave 74628412.
My ancestor is John Lucas 1606-1671 who was interned at St Giles, Colchester, Essex, England, I believe the brother of Charles Lucas 1612/13-1648 who was executed for involvement in 1648 siege of Colchester.
I am attempting to record John Lucas on Find a Grave, but I have been stung before, not understanding ancient burial places in England, so I am hoping to tap your vast knowledge and properly understand if this would be the same burial site as James Buchanan.
Are Chichester and Colchester one and the same?
I appreciate any help you can provide.

You have put a photograph of Liverpool Cathedral alongside the gravestone of Richard Guest. This Cathedral was not in existence until the early 1900s. Before that, St Peter's in Liverpool was recognized as the Pro-Cathedral. However, I believe that Peter has somewhere changed the gravestone location to St James.

Thank you so much for taking the photo of Alexander's headstone. I really appreciate your efforts.
|Tracy||Re:Reginald Renouf Johnston|
Thank you for your message in which you suggested that the grave should be listed as a cenotaph.
However, while I understand your reason as Reginald Renouf Johnston is not buried in the grave (his body was not recovered), I do not consider it should be classified as a cenotaph, as there are multiple members of Reginald's family who *are* buried in that plot. I therefore consider it a family grave with a memorial to Reginald on it, not a cenotaph.
Thank you for your interest,

Do you think it possible to add the photo of Sir Thomas Abney that currently hangs in the Hall of Mayors?
|Marie Griffiths||I found this too late|
I found this website too late and have done the gravestones again. I think I got 100% some are illegible though.
Could we compare notes?
|Chris Nelson||RE: HongKong|
They're different. One is just down the road from the other.
Thank you for bringing the duplicate to my attention.
|Martin Douglas Packer||Transfer requests (2)|
have very strong personal attachments to these two memorials:
1. VERNON JAMES AUSTIN : http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=46392952
2. LUCY DALTON SLATER : http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=34759193
1. I re-created the existing memorial for his father and created the new memorial for his mother; I am looking for his uncle. I will visit his grave in Canterbury.
2. I created the memorial for her daughter (the figurehead of my "Ascension" facebook group) , and found/created the memorial for her husband in Portsmouth.
Again, I request that you transfer them both to me, please - after which there will be NO further electronic contact between us unless you want there to be.
Martin Douglas Packer,
