I started my journey in genealogy in 1999 after my uncle gave me a family tree report on my father's mother's side of our family. I've been hooked since then. I found Find-a-Grave quite by mistake and now I love finding cemeteries and adding names and photos.|
FEEL FREE TO USE MY GRAVESTONE PICTURES FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE, BUT PLEASE DO NOT USE MY PERSONAL PICTURES WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.
I am more than happy to transfer memorials that are not related to me as I create many random memorials. Also, when suggesting a correction, please use the "Edit" feature, that allows me to use a link to make corrections. Please allow time for me to make corrections. I usually make many at one time.
The picture is of my Grandpa and Grandma Landis on their 25th wedding anniversary!
I am researching:
-Bakers (Pike County, OHIO & Adams County, IN),
-Landis/Lantis (OH & IN),
-Hoppas (Hancock County, OHIO),
-Bosworth (Pike/Ross County, OHIO),
-Davis (Athens/Pike County, OHIO),
-Minear (OHIO & White County, IN)

I maintain Luther's parents memorials. His father Levi Lightle Find A Grave Number is 14434289. His mother Kissiah Find A Grave Number is 14434284. Luther's father Levi is the younger brother of my Great-Great-Great-Grandfather William Lytle. I thought I would share this information with you if you wanted to link Luther with his parents.

I received this message from a lady giving this information and I found your Memorial Page for Margaret Mary Wilcox Heaton. Information:Margaret married Jesse Heaton, probably in New York or in Dearborn County, Indiana. Jesse moved from New York to Dearborn, IN about 1818 with his parents. Between 1830 and 1840, Jesse and his wife moved to Allen County, IN where they lived until their deaths. Jesse and Margaret are buried in Antioch Lutheran Cemetery in Allen County.
Jesse was the brother of my ancestor, Ebenezer Heaton.

If you look at his memorial, you will see that I did not put the pictures on. I added the memorial but not the pictures. Sorry.

Thanks for the info; it was hard to tell which memorial was the error, but either way, as long as they are both in sync with dates and names maybe it won't hurt anything to have them both listed. I just sent a note to both memorial creators for their review. Thanks for the kind message and for your time in volunteering to help out. Have a great day.

Shimer Funeral Monday.
Monday at 10 o'clock A. M., at the Tocsin church, was held the funeral of Mrs. Obediah Shimer, aged 65, who passed away Friday evening , after a lingering illness extending over a period of two years, dating from a stroke of paralysis, which rendered her an invalid.
The funeral services were in charge of the Rev. Byerly of the pleasant Dale church and interment was in the Tocsin cemetery. Mrs. Shimer was a devout member of the Dunkard church.
Mrs. Susannah Robinson Shimer was born June 5, 1847, in Richland county, Ohio, the daughter of Alexander and Margaret Robinson, and was married to Obediah Shimer in 1867, moving to Wells county five years later. Since that time they have made their residence near Tocsin. Besides the husband, six daughters and one son survive her. They are, Mrs. Joe Richey, of Three Rivers, Mich.: Mrs. Almede Steele, of this city; Mrs. Mat Briner, of Decatur; Mrs. Jacob Barger, of Magley; Mrs. Ernest Vananda, of Ossian; Mrs. Mary McCague, of Echo, and the son, Charles, at home. Six children, who have passed away in recent years are Mrs. Ella Smalley, whose death occurred last week in Paulding, O.; Margaret, Florence, Edith, Asa and Walter. A sister of the deceased, Mrs. J. McDaniels, of Richland county, Ohio, also survives her.
