Bio Photo I transcribe and photograph cemeteries/grave sites because I know there is someone out there who can't make the trip or who doesn't really know where their loved ones resting place may be. My Motto: By Preserving Our Past, We Prepare For The Future!jhh That one transcription or photo CAN make a difference!

This pix is of my baby girl (Toni Stewart), she is named after Tony Stewart of NASCAR.

RE: Dixon
Hi JoAnn,

My Dixon Family came from Northern Ireland, in 1736. (John Dickson (Dixon) b.1704.

His Son Michael Dickson of Kenansville N.C. b. 1731, in Northern Ireland.

His Son Robert Dickson, b.c.1750, probably in Duplin County N.C.

His Son Allen Jones Dixon b. 1782, Effingham County, Ga.

His son Nathaniel Dickson, b. 1808, Bulloch County, Ga.

His Son William Franklin Dickson b. 1846 in Ware County, Ga. (Section is Now Pierce County)

His son Emmett Lauson Dixon b. 1882 Pierce County, Georgia. (First to change the spelling to Dixon)

His son (My Father) Omer Dixon b. 1911 Pierce County, Georgia,

If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to check out the family of John & Senia Smith Dixon, buried at Lake Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Metter, Candler County, Georgia. John was a brother of my ancestor Nathaniel Dickson above.

Sorry I cannot be of more help. I wish you the best of luck, and let me know if I may be of help

Thanks. I added the obituary (you sent) to his Find A Grave memorial record. Thank you, again, for all you continue to do. May our good Lord bless you and your family.

RE: Harmon Riggs
That is great!! Thank you so much. It breaks my heart when I see the unmarked ones. Even if they're not related to me, I try to find out who they are and put it on their Find A Grave memorial with who they are buried next to. I wish I could buy little granite markers for all of them with names and dates. Not able to do that though. I appreciate so much what you have done. Thank you for the marker and keeping everything clean up there. Stay warm! You all may get some snow up there. Bundle up..

RE: McNair
Hello, the McNair's from my husband's line is from Iowa and Ohio but I've heard some family members say that Georgia fits in it somehow but have not found any evidence of that. But if you are looking for someone in Tattnall county, Georgia, I live near there and could help you with your research. You can email me at and tell me more about who you are looking for and I can look at the local records for you.

Oh that would be great. I would love to see anything.

I'm trying to find Harmon Rigg's wife burial location. I've been searching today. I can't seem to find her though. Do you know if there are any in the cemetery that aren't on find a grave?

RE: Harmon Riggs
Thank you so much. I've never been to the cemetery up there. It's about 160 miles from where I live. I hope I can make it up there one day soon. I'm glad someone is there to take care of them. Thank you so much for your efforts and I hope you have a great 2017.
