I'm turning my messages back on.
(I know, big whoop! Ha!)
Please send all corrections through the new edit system or by the old SAC.
Note: I'm only turning my messages back on so other contributors can contact me about memorials and/or cemeteries. Please do not use this as a way to try to sell me a cemetery book, invite me to a gathering, or harass me because you woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I have a very low tolerance for "horse hockey", if you get my drift.

Hi Just Plain Nosy!
I am researching the Smith line that comes from Nancy's father Simon Smith. I was wondering if the next time you happen to be out at McLucas cemetery, if you would not mind making a rubbing of Nancy's grave (piece of paper, rub a crayon or other type thing across the paper as it lays on the stone) to pick up what is no longer noticeable by the eye. I am beyond curious.
Also, if you would not mind taking a picture of Simon and Isabella Smith's graves. They are listed as being buried there. And of course any other family that you see might be buried close by. I would be beyond grateful...and of course please do not make a special trip..just if you happen to pass by or go out there.
Here's where it is listed that Simon and Isabella are buried there:
One mystery that we are working on is that Simon is also listed as being buried a this DAR memorial site. The dates are off, but the DAR's genealogical info is that of our Simon's (will, book references, ect). Do you know anything about this DAR cemetery, being from the general area?
Here's the link showing that grave/memorial site
Thank you in advance your help!

I absolutely LOVE your profile page. You must have had more than one "run in." I know the feeling WELL. Most of the folks here are congenial, but it only takes a few sickos to ruin the whole damn thing!

That looks wonderful! Thanks, JPN!

You added her and placed her marker photo onto Findagrave.
I just linked her husband to her. His grave is VERY likely unmarked.
Could you put a copy of the shot you took from a distance onto his memorial, please? Or I can make a copy and post it.
Thank you so much!
Just checking in to see how things are going. Everything alright so far?

Thank You so much for your help.
I have removed the unmarked grave photos and corrected Margaret's birth year.
As for the transfer of other family members I honestly see no need. As long as the are all linked that's truly is all that matters.
Again Thank You !!

Hi! I have been research ing my husband's ancestors and found the gravestone of one that you posted here: Obedience Roscoe Bounds, buried in Beaver Dam cemetery in SC. The information on Find a Grave indicates that her parents were Purrington Roscoe and Virgina Willis, and I am wondering, do you know where that information came from?
