My uncle researched our family tree back to the 1750s and I have always been interested in family histories. I found this site when I was looking for the grave of Francis Lewis, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. His home was in Whitestone, Queens, NYC. His family donated the land for the church I grew up in. Since finding this site I have looked up other people I am interested in.
