Legally migrated with my parents from Havana, Cuba at the age of 7 in 1954 and grew up in the New York City and Newark NJ area. Joined the US Army in 1964 and served in The Republic of South Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 in the Infantry. Joined the US Navy in 1976 and retired in 1992 as a Chief Petty Officer. Became a State Probation Officer in 1993 and switched to Deputy Sheriff in 1997, retiring in 2014.
