|Bio and Links|
San Diego has some of the best Find a Grave contributors who are doing an amazing job of documenting our local cemeteries. If you need a grave photo there is no shortage photo volunteers. If you are looking for an obituary, cemetery information or advice we have volunteers happy to help you. |
If you are new to Find a Grave and want to start contributing in the San Diego area please read the FAQs or reach out to someone with your questions.
Please always do a search before creating a new memorial
Links, Corrections and additional information
Please use the edit tab and I will be happy to make corrections, add links and additional information. Do not leave information you want added on this page.
Note: Abstracted lists (such as census, death index, etc.) should be formulated into complete sentences prior to submitting for addition to the bio.
Copy-and-paste census, military and other data is not a "bio". Please don't send these type of bios because they will not be added.
This is Find-a-Grave, we find graves, so please, if the memorial doesn't have a grave photo, request one prior to asking for a transfer.
I'm pretty liberal when it comes to transfers, however too many times I have transferred and nothing is added or changed. So if you want a transfer, please:
1. Post any family photos (if you have them)
2. Provide me with family links and biographical information you wish to add to the memorial.
3. Tell me your exact relationship
I will not make a transfer if you create excessive memorials with unknown burial locations.
Please be a Find a Grave contributor, not just a collector of someone else's work
✔ PLEASE NOTE!!! Do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate.

It has been a while since I requested a transfer. Is this the proper format to use? I seemed to remember there was a 'tab' or link to request a transfer. Thanks so much! Cheryle Luzack
|CFG||Jason W. Fairfield correction|
Thank you for posting the burial info on Jason W. Fairfield at Mount Hope Cemetery, San Diego, CA. He was my gg-grandfather's brother. I believe there is an error in the date transcription. You list Jason's birth year as 1889, but he was born August 12, 1839, in Pomfret, Connecticut. I can provide a bio sketch for him if you send me your email address.

Hi I am trying to locate a picture of Helen for her son, Henry "Hank"Leo Sidels. He has just lost his wife a couple of days ago & was sharing with us that he doesnt have even one picture of his mother, Helen. He said he only has one picture of his father, Leo Henry Sidels. I thought how nice it would be for this 80 year old man to have a picture of his mom & maybe his dad. I didnt know if you might have any contacts with the Beatty family. Thank you for your help. God Bless

Hi. No I am not related. I sent the edit based on the headstone photo that I posted on his memorial. Have you tried to find an obituary for him and his family? I did look in the Chicago Tribune but didn't find anything. I would suggest you try the Chicago Bohemian newspapers as many foreigners would appear in their native paper in Chicago (my family did from Germany and Poland but not in the Tribune) Most of the time you will find a death notice or obituary that can help you out from these papers. Hope it helps you out.
Here are some places to call/write to see if they can help:

Hi Gennaphyr --
I've been able to gather some details and photos in order to provide an appropriate bio for my Aunt Rita (Find-a-Grave #137690905).
You had said you would be able to upload this information. What is the best way to send you the details and picture files? Also, is there a better photo file type and size?
Thank you so much!

thank you for your profile and thoughts. Insert loud applause here.
Hi, after reading your bio, you mentioned there were volunteers that were willing to help with obituaries. Would you be able to direct me to a volunteer that may be able to find an obituary for Augustine McDonnell (memorial #99874785) that you made a memorial for. He died Dec. 5, 1992 in Calabasas,Los Angeles County, CA. Thanks so much.
