I am currently a resident of Rhode Island, where I grew up. My career for 40+ years has been learning, training, teaching and judging "Dressage" horses. Am semi-retired now from active competing & judging but focus 100% on coaching and teaching.|
I have been working on family genealogy and submitting memorials on findagrave for 12 + years! It still fascinates me.
Thank you to all those who visit my interments and put notes and flowers on. I really do appreciate your thoughts and attention. My most special memorial that I have added is of my dad. Please feel free to visit "8526404".
Certainly any additions, corrections or questions you might have about my "interments", please let me know.

Glad to help once again. The picture taking is fun- glad you're willing to do the work of keeping so many family trees "growing". Good luck!

I see you are looking for a lot of graves in Oakwood. I'll keep my eyes open during my walks- it is a beautiful place.

You just recently took a photo of Thomas Cotton's headstone #142626681. What ever device you are using IPad or phone, you took the picture in the wrong position and on the F.A.G. website, the picture is sitting sideways and not in the upright position. Is there someway you could correct this?

Hi Sue... I'm having troubles with the children of Mary Lanbotham (1604-1687). I noticed you listed Mary as her daughter. Mary's father, Thomas Clifton, who she married in 1640, must have been previously married and therefore Mary's mother should be Unknown and not Mary Lanbotham.

"Henry Butterworth of Halifax, Yorkshire, and Weymouth, Massachusetts
by Clifford L. Stott
"2 HENRY1 BUTTERWORTH was baptized in Halifax 28 February 1601/2. He died in Weymouth, Massachusetts, probably in or near 1636. Henry married in Halifax 2 February 1626/7, MARY LONGBOTHAM, who was born about 1600, as calculated by age on her death record. They resided in Sowerby and had children baptized in the Halifax parish church and the Halifax chapelry of Heptonstall. The family apparently emigrated to New England between 1634 and 1636. Mary married second in Massachusetts, shortly after 28 January 1640/1, Thomas Clifton. They settled in Rehoboth and Newport, Rhode, Island. Mary died in Newport 26 January 1686, aged 87 years. Thomas Clifton drowned in Newport on 9 July 1681.
Children of Henry1 and Mary (Longbotham) Butterworth:
i. John Butterworth, bp. Halifax 16 Sept. 1627; ...
ii. Abraham Butterworth (twin), bp. Heptonstall, Yorks. 9 Aug. 1629; ...
iii. MARY BUTTERWORTH (twin), bp. Heptonstall, Yorks, 9 Aug. 1629; d. Rehoboth, Mass. 20 Aug. 1714. The will of Mary Mason of Rehoboth was executed on 28 January 1712/3 and proved on 6 December 1714. She married about 1650 Sampson Mason, whose will refers to John Butterworth as his brother.
iv. Samuel Butterworth, bp. Halifax 6 Jan. 1631/2; no further record.
v. Henry Butterworth, bp. Halifax 26 May 1634; no further record.

The date is partially hidden by a tight binding in the parish register. The complete date is found in Halifax bishop's transcripts [FHL 0,990,596].

my pleasure. Sorry it took so long to post it. find a grave app was giving me the hardest time with automatic upload for a while. I've gone back to just manually posting them.
