Bio and Links
Bio Photo I developed taphophilia in Nov 2007. I'm adding what I can, photos and accurate transcriptions, because stones deteriorate and there's no better time than now.

On a philosophical note: I believe that an unmarried woman's surname should never be listed in the "maiden name" field, and a divorced woman who returned to her maiden name should also have that name as her surname.

You sent me more edits. All dealing with how I placed an unknown "mother, father, soldier, infant". Most I placed in first name space example "unknown mother" or placed in middle name space example: first name "unknown" middle name "mother".

Problem is you want the mother, father, etc placed in the nickname section. Where does it say in guidelines that is the proper placement? Will make those changes if you can provide that to me.

You also contradict yourself because on one edit you want me to place "soldier" as the middle name as opposed to other edits where you want me to put in nickname section. ????

On other edits you sent me asking to remove quotes, I never put the quotes there. The site did that. I just did a test and that's what happens. I have no control over that.

Happy to make the requested edits if you can provide clarification.

Please, stop "policing" my memorials. It would serve better if you actually got up and went out to photograph stones. Legit edits I am willing to make, but I take offense to petty edits when I have contributed MANY hours to documenting cemeteries and taking request photos. Try it some time.

Ina - Nina - Wallin
Chris, perhaps you could help me understand what you wish to edit on Ina's memorial...her first name? While she was indeed known as Nina at certain times of her life, I have her mother's family Bible, wherein her given name is Ina. She also acknowledged 'Ina" as her legal name on voter registrations, and the California Death Index has her as Ina, as well. I have indicated "Nina' on her bio, as well as a short marriage that doesn't seem nec to add to her long list of names already. What is your thinking here?

Well, you're partially right about the search part if someone is searching by middle name, but if you do a search by maiden name in Noble Co., Ohio, her name appears at the top of the list! A search of Find A Grave by Unger OR Ullmann also reveals her memorial! I appreciate your "educating me" about this...but do you have nothing better to do than look for periods and quotation marks?

Theresa "Emeline" Unger
You want me to remove my quotes around her middle name when that is the name she went by??? (I won't do that because if I designate Emeline as her nickname, it will appear as Theresa Emeline "Emeline" Unger!)

RE:' VS "
Sorry - could you provide a link or memorial number as an example regarding your comment? Otherwise, I have absolutely zero point of reference about which you are writing.

Thanks very much for messaging me over this issue. I am fully aware of the problem and for unknown reasons the connection at this end has been rather dodgy (in that some keys and letters are accepted and others just are not). It is for this reason I have ceased doing anything until such issues are sorted.
It was not an oversight and I apologise if it caused you personal issues.

RE: And...
You apparently don't have anything else better to do. I made the memorials, I actually attended both of the funerals and I will continue to make my own edits
