I developed taphophilia in Nov 2007. I'm adding what I can, photos and accurate transcriptions, because stones deteriorate and there's no better time than now.|
On a philosophical note: I believe that an unmarried woman's surname should never be listed in the "maiden name" field, and a divorced woman who returned to her maiden name should also have that name as her surname.

I think you need to quit worrying about the small details which DOES NOT interfer with a search. My memorials will remain as I created them.

Chris, I think, Volunteer #46577499's reply fits the situation exactly and I feel the same.

Hi, when I first started "periods" were not allowed per Admins. This has since changed as other "guidelines" have. I appreciate corrections, however, please leave periods out of corrections/edits. Thank you!

Thank you for the name correct!
|Volunteer #46577499||Hello ~ re: 'periods' in name fields|
Find A Grave Admins have 'changed' their requirements (and other items) numerous times, since I became a volunteer ... which is why you are feeling the need to 'edit' many of my pages with nicknames (removed from maiden name fields). There was not a 'nickname' field available years ago - and - Find A Grave specifically ordered (previously) that there were to be no 'periods' after initials, in name fields! I am adhering to the previous instructions, rather than expending volunteer hours, amending the thousands of entries I've already made!
Sorry you were not here, many years ago, when the earlier mandates were published! I choose to follow some of the earlier instructions ... those given, prior to Find A Grave bowing out to Ancestry.com.
Thanx for your contact - and - best wished to you, in this FREE website project ... where even those, unable to pay the fees at Ancestry, can obtain family information, FEE FREE! due to the FREE contributions of volunteer workers.

The edit for addition of maiden name already exists. Let me know if it's not showing up.
May I ask your interest in her. She is my 4th great-grandmother and I am just curious. I declined the maiden name because I already had it. The cemetery where she is buried is one of the oldest in the county. Everyone in it is my family, although some are like hanging by a twig. I set up and photographed the cemetery.

Thank you for catching my error, I apologize for not being able to fix it sooner.
My computer is down and I had to use another I was less familiar with, the page did not open correctly.
I appreciate your input, the correction is made and thank you for your work on Find A Grave.

I see your edit requests for these two individuals. They are not my relatives and I would be more than happy to transfer them to you. Let me know..

Sorry the first few letters of the name didn't show up. It was about Eugene Seabolt.
