On Father's Day 2011 my sweet daughter, Mariah, offered to spend the day with me in whatever activity I chose. |
We were off to the cemetery to clean stones and talk about life and death. I showed her where I assumed I would be buried. Little did I know that she would go before me and be placed where we sat that wonderful day.
It's with such a heavy heart I have had to add her memorial. Please take the time to visit my sweet angel HERE.
Seeking written histories and photos of the following families: Young (Lorenzo Dow) Erekson, Benbow, Siddoway, Miller, Clark, Farley, Wardle, Rogers, Morgan and Timothy.
My area of greatest interest is the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, especially Sections A, B, C and D.
The Great Utah Artist John Hafen is resting in section A. 2010 is the Centennial of his death.
How I got started:
Three nights in a row I had the same dream. I was in a big room of an old church that no longer exists. I was sitting on a bench and a line of people was in front of me. One by one people that I didn't recognize asked me to take their photos but I didn't have a camera or a way to help them. I felt urgency but helpless.
On the 4th night of this dream, I was surprised to realize that these people were all dead. I woke up with the strong feeling that I should take pictures of their headstones for them.
That day I decided I must quickly do something. I went to the cemetery and started taking pictures but didn't know what to do with them. I searched online for grave stones and found FindAGrave. Since then I have been taking photos and getting them posted here.
While walking through the cemeteries I have had many emotional experiences and have felt compelled to document some people through their headstones. Some are family, others I don't know. I hope my work is pleasing to someone.
Please remember Baby Jane who was abandoned by her mother, but not forgotten by us. Thanks to MayflowerPilgrim332 for sponsoring her memorial.
Of possible interest, Resurrected Gravestones.
Special thanks to Grandma Timothy who used to take me on Saturdays to the genealogy library when I was a boy of 12.

Thanks for visiting her & leaving a virtual flower for her. I just recently got the transfer after years & years of asking. Since she is my cousin it doesn't follow "within the guidelines". I just now realized that it was years ago! My Grandparents (Ross & Maxine) The Godfrey's are there as well. They are just to the south-east by the road. It's been since their death that I was there. Horrible but true. I don't speak to my father so I don't have a reason to drive that far esp with little ones! But thanks so much for taking care of her headstone. Her mom & dad live there. I can't wait to show them all of the support here.
I also left a flower for your beautiful daughter.

Thank you for adding the photo of the Provo Cemetery to uncle Rollie's memorial! His burial info came from his death certificate, and we've never been to Utah, so we had no idea how the cemetery looks.

Hi Mark, I'm a new member and was wondering if there was a reason John Hamilton Morgan's third wife Mary Linton and their three sons were not listed. Their first born Richard Linton Morgan was my grandfather and I'm looking for help finding more about him. And please accept my deepest sympathy at the loss of your beautiful girl.
I whould like if you to transfer Anita Rae Larson Timorthy to me she a realy good frend of mine. Her # is 53361331 and my # 497588496.
Thank you Doug Grover

You need to read the caption that's attached to the photo. Rowden Walker is buried in an UNMARKED GRAVE.

Thank you. You were so fast!

You're very welcome- glad I could help. And, so sorry for the loss of your daughter. At least you can have comfort in the principles of our beliefs that you'll be reunited with her again. If there's ever anything I can help with back here just let me know.

Hey thank you for helping me I talked to a lot of people about those memorials a lot of them transferred them to me. Someone said that they would go to the Belsano Cemetery and take some pictures for me. Someone also took a photo of Earl William Reaves's grave so that was really exciting for me. Thank You for putting flowers on my ancestors memorials it really means a lot to me. :) If you don't mind I have a question for you I saw that your daughter died in 2011 what did she pass away from? Hope to hear from you.
Emily Marsh :)
Hi Mark, I got a message from you on the Morgan side. My Mother is Mary (Morgan) Phillips from Wilcox PA. She would know of any! My Grandfather was John Morgan Sr. He was an officer in the navy. A Seabee. You can find many Morgans on my fb. Best of luck.
