PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction link to add/correct information. I try to get to them within 24 hours of receipt. |
PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction to request a transfer. Please include your relationship. I will not transfer out of guidelines. Please spare me the "I am the family genealogist" and the "I have tons of information to add" stories. Use the edit system. Too many people have requested out-of-guidelines transfers and then never added so much as a comma to the memorial. Requests for bulk transfers will be summarily ignored.
I WILL NOT link to a "burial unknown". This IS a grave registration site.
If I do not maintain the memorial, but add a picture, PLEASE check the photo caption for the inscription.
My love of old cemeteries is genetic from my dad. I try to take pictures of the fallen/damaged markers first as they might end up "behind the shed" or "over the wall" by the next time I get there.

I just found the gravestone for my relatives, buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Florence Ma. I joined the cite today and made an edit. Not sure how long it takes for correction. But, since you were original contributor, wanted to explain my correction. William Eli Lacey is my Great-Grandfather and Elizabeth Thearle is my Great-Grandmoter, buried with their daughter Isabel F. Lacey and son-in-law Ernest L. Harris. I made the correction to read:
William E. Lacey and Elizabeth Thearle, which is correct.
Thank you, skl

Thanks for helping to sort Luther Clark's identity! I really need to get back to my home turf now (Hampden/Hampshire) County and stop my work out East (New Bedford currently). So many memorials I created over the years quickly (to prevent some of the non-responsive and rude local members from gaining management without the slightest intention to develop and photograph, such as the lady we discussed) and have always felt guilty they were not properly developed. I probabably added 100,000+ in just over a year (2014-15). It is such a great pleasure working with you! If you ever think of a collaborative project I would love to hear it. Jim

May I have your permission to download the photo of the gravestone of Amasa Wells & his wife, Eunice (White) Wells (Memorial# 38275447)?
I would like to upload it into my Ancestry Family Tree.
Thank you for your consideration.
Thanks for the heads up - I corrected the cemetery -

I am working with a group of people and our City Councilor to save and restore West Farms Cemetery in Florence, MA. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My sister has recently started a family tree and I caught the bug. My research brought me to the stone in Saint Mary cemetery that I believe has both sets of my grandmothers grandparents. My great grandmother was Elizabeth O'Rourke, dob, 1874, but I don't see her listed with her siblings on the information you have.
I think I have it straight, there is a lot to sort through.
Thanks for your time,

PK, thanks for catching the errors for parental links for Edward Rosenbaum. Corrections have been made. His brother Simon must have known he was dying, as the will was written less than a month before his death.

Hi, I keep seeing your name on my ancestors virtual grave sites and today I wound up on your page and thought I'd say hi and thanks so much for all this work you do! I found a couple of things I'll be requesting to change/add/ whatever. I'm brand new to this (my father, too, became very involved with our genealogy) I'm overwhelmed and confused with all there is to do in creating a "tree" on Ancestry.com, and also we have a LARGE number of ancestor papers, letters. It's time for ME to do my share! I'm 74, who knows how much time I have left!! I'm descended from McClellan, Edgerton, Smith, Southgate, Allen, Lee, Strong, Wheelock, Malleville, Parsons, Howard/Hayward and on backwards in time to those folks mostly from England early on(except for the de Mallevilles.) Lots of ancestors in Bridge Street. This is just from my father's side, as my mother's side of my father's work became lost. I'll be getting to that. But it's my father's ancestors that are from around here, where I coincidentally wound up living!
I'll be "seeing" you! (virtually)
Judith Lee Howard Shea. I live in Florence.
