I am researching my family surnames on my Father's side (Galloway/Carter/Cook/Oliver (SC/AL/GA) and my Mother's side Traffenstead/Traffanstedt/Garrett (AL/GA/TN/SC) Hartsfield/Cross (AR). I've been interested in geneaology since August 2006 when I started looking for my Mother's biological family whom I found within 2 weeks. From my Mother's side, I am Catawba Indian "People Of The River", German, and British. I'm still working on my Father's side.|
Please take a moment and visit my family. Thank you so much.
This dear sweet woman has been part of our family since I was a little girl. She will never be forgotten. Love you Ms. Frances.
Taken too soon:
Kaleb "Bubba" Schwade
Kaleb was a victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome by his babysitter when he was 5 months old. http://dontshake.org

ALL FLOWERS ARE DEEPLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR VISITING MY LOVED ONES.
If I have offended anyone, please let me know and I will remove the memorial of your loved one. If you aren't a part of Find A Grave, you can still contact me through the edit tab of the memorial. I don't mean to offend anyone. All memorials are created out of respect. The purpose of me adding names is because I believe that people should never be forgotten, and also I like to help people who are searching for their ancestors. I am so thankful for Find A Grave because not only have I found many of my ancestors, I have found many related family members alive.
I will be happy to transfer memorials that are a part of your family with the exception of the ones of my family within Find A Grave's 4 generations guidelines. Any requests outside the 4 generations will be considered on an individual basis. You MUST state the relationship with your ID number. All RUDE requests will be ignored!
Duplicates - These are errors, and not created on purpose. I search before I create a memorial and after every time. Please bring any errors or duplicates to my attention so I can correct them. If I have created a memorial and you create a duplicate, do not send me a message that the one I created is a dupe and for me to delete. I will not delete any memorials if you created a dupe. Don't create a dupe memorial just because you're related. If you are family, kindly ask for a transfer or you can add photos and send me information to be added and I'll be glad to add it. If you are within the 4 generations, please ask for a transfer. Please read the FAQ's for this site on creating memorials.
Feel free to use my photos 📷 as long as you give me credit and do not make any money off them.
PLEASE NOTE IF YOU WOULD LIKE A TRANSFER, YOU CAN LEAVE A MESSAGE ON MY PAGE WITH YOUR RELATIONSHIP AND CONTRIBUTOR # AS I WILL GET TO IT QUICKER.

|rita walden||RE: Hi Rita|

Yes it was a cut and paste from the Census record.
Here is the next one.
1910-Census-Nixburg, Coosa, Al
Jefferson B Taunton 58
Virginia B 48
Milton D 7
Loel B 6
Jim H Taunton 26
William W 19
Warner L 17
I could not see my note when I was answering you.
He was with 2nd wife by this time- and her two children at the top.
|Gerry Hill||RE: Thanks|
They are all Taunton. You are probably referring to census records which spell it several ways.
I am not which of them you are referring to as "Her" as I made a bunch of additions tonight.
Two marriage- several had also.
Bartow Virginia married 22 Oct 1901
Martha M Graham-the other wife 27 Feb 1872
Son Milton married Carene Dean 1924
No date on other wife Laura Lucille Pratt
I had hip replacement Nov was a year ago, and am just now walking better, and not wobbly. I can walk to the mailbox without tiring, but tried the walking track, and even sitting 3 times-the 3 times I went around did me in for a couple of days.
So I know that bit. I have a right hip that also needs it-but it is not bone to bone yet like the other was for over a year. I went four years before I had the surgery, and it went very, very well, but I hope I don't have it again. Also do traction 4 times a day for 5th & 6th vertebrae. And other body giving way bits- just apparently did not take care of me like I should have. But I am going in the right direction now, and doing more and more around the house. I want to work in the yard,but am still careful what I do. No shovel. I take a chair to weed. I had a walker, then a wheel chair for years, so happy to be walking at all again....
Ancestry has been my salvation with so much bed time. It keeps my mind going anyhow. I used to do professional genealogy- before and after I retired at 70, but I had to give that up. Can't even lift those big heavy books,and could not tromp around graveyards or courthouses any more.
I don't even try to do it anymore. All of it calls for some outside research. Sitting is the Pitts, like a library hard chair. A couple of hours and I am done for. I make myself go to DAR, Genealogy Meeting and Red Hat monthly...just to get out- a few other things, but I don't really enjoy it anymore, and do enjoy Genealogy- and adding to findagrave too, when I can. Most of what I added was from my days of doing surveys for our Genealogy Society. And I had some WPA records,and others that people sent me over the last 36 years. Most of my pictures were old ones, but I still stop anywhere I pass and get a few, on my few excursions. I enjoy it- but for short spells...only. Looks like we had the surgery the same month. I was in the Hospital during Thanksgiving, then to a swing bed for a month, then still in bed most of another month. But he said I could drive by Christmas, I was just not quite confident enough until after. I did really well...they said. Had therapy at home for a month, I think.And a nurse and even someone to bathe me and make up my bed. But I still don't want it again! At my age (77) just the anesthesia an do you in, and blood clots etc.You take your chances. They say knee is harder. I have a hospital buddy who had that.
for the grave picture of Martha Graham Taunton.
May I use it?
I have ask to have her husband added. His name is on her stone (by you) on the grave. The marriage is on ancestry 27 Feb 1872 Tallapoosa, Al. I have added that, and a 2nd marriage.
James H Tanton
John A Tanton

Thank you for getting the correction for parents of Mather L Gordon. And in the process you helped me locate Leon Gordon. (His father) I never knew the first name "Minard". I was looking for Leon. And still another one we knew as "Kent" who was just older than "Grant". So many people were known by nicknames and it makes it hard to trace at times.
|Susan Bruffey Lehman||Memorial 88631835|
Sybil Virginia Bailey was the great grand daughter of John "Jack" C Bailey, my 3rd great grandfather, whose mother was Emillie Pamelia "Milly" Baker (married to Benjamin C Bailey), seems the Baker and Bailey families were well acquainted. If this meets the criteria, could you transfer her memorial to me so that I can write her biography and link her with family members? My Find A Grave is ID #47357320.
(Bailey - my maternal side - from Sgt. William Hopkins Bailey & Susan Elizabeth "Susie").
your Find A Grave friend,
Susan Bruffey Lehman
