I truly love cemeteries and researching family histories. If update is a family member, please let me know at time of request and I will be happy to transfer.|
If interested in a transfer...please follow the instructions from Find A Grave and use the edit key on the site. I will not make corrections/additions if edit key is not used. By using the edit key I will have all the info I need to make the transfer. I'm happy to transfer family but you must state your relationship or I will not transfer. Please feel free to use any headstone pictures I have added.
Recently someone contacted me asking that I delete my entry as they had just entered a duplicate and liked theirs better...please don't do this. Nor collect people with the same name, this is not accepted by Find A Grave. As I said before, I am happy to transfer immediate family. . Please feel free to use any headstone pictures I have added.
Family names I'm researching are Ashworth, Brasher, Learned/Larned, McCrady, Carpenter and Ziebarth/Cibart.

I wanted to show you this so you know my guessing was right lol
Nov. 2, 1940-May 13, 2011
Joan Westfall, 70, of Corvallis died Friday, May 13.
Joan was born on Nov. 2, 1940, in Corvallis to Benjamin and Anna (Trueax) Wigle. She graduated from Philomath High School in 1958. She then attended Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho. In 1985, she graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts.
Joan married John Westfall in 1966; they later divorced. They had one son, Benjamin John, born in 1967.
Joan was employed at OSU for 38 years, the last six as office/financial manager of the Aquaculture Collaborative Research Support Program. She retired from OSU in 2006. A diehard Beaver fan, Joan was a Beaver Club member, and for many years a season-ticket holder for basketball, football and women's gymnastics. She especially enjoyed helping with score-keeping as a volunteer at women's gymnastics meets.
Joan had a beautiful voice, and loved to sing in church choir; she was often asked to sing at various events and functions.
Joan was diagnosed with cancer in 2003. Sustained by a strong faith in God, she met the challenges of her illness with admirable courage and dignity. Those who were with her in her final days can attest that she never lost her concern for others, or her splendid sense of humor.
Joan is survived by her son, Ben, of Philomath; sisters Norma Kratzer and Betty Randall (Jerry) of Corvallis, Sue Dowell (Bill) of Lebanon, and Vivian Bradley of Philomath; nephews Darius Kratzer, Jason Bradley, Donovan Diegel, and Rich and Dusty Dowell; and nieces Andrea Kratzer, RoniSue Lee, Lea Harris, Ann Reynolds and Mary Gull.
She was preceded in death by her parents; half-sisters Anna May Winters and Iva Ettro; and Iva's son, Robert Webb.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vicky Lee, Benton Hospice Service, Corvallis Manor, and Ombudsman Dan Dunham for their kindness and support.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, at Suburban Christian Church, with burial to follow at Mount Union Cemetery. Arrangements are by McHenry Funeral Home.

Thanks for the transfer of Frank and Lorena Ritner, and thanks for creating the memorials in the first place!
My pleasure, today was a nice day to go out with the camera.

Thank you. These were an important part of my families 300 year migration from Rhode Island to Ohio and Micigan. They were in Essex County for about 20 years. Fortinately or unfortunately those that you transferred to me ended their journey there. Without grave markers and Find A Grave we would not know of them and the part they played in the families journey. So yes, I will remember them and enhance what is known about them so that generations to come will know about their hope and promise for the future of the family.

I only asked for 'one' record trasfer. This is my aunts daughter. I think that should qualify, what do you think?

If you would transfer these records to me, I would then be able to add and update information for them. Thank you. By the way, you have done a very nice memorial for them, are you a relative as well and if so how are you connected?

I think that is where Joan worked but I can't find her obit to tell you for sure. I know it is in my stuff some where but too many people have asked me to do things for them (family); that when I do run into it again, I will let you know for sure. Thanks for all your help, Mary
