|Daniel Gattuso||John J Calhoun|
I see that you left e-flowers for John Joseph Calhoun (b. 1851, d. 1929).
I have been doing my own family research, and have just come across his name as one of my own very distant relatives! John Joseph Calhoun was the father of James Calhoun, who's buried very near John. They both seem to have died the same year, 1929. James had several children, one of them named Alice Loretta Calhoun; this is my paternal grandmother, who married Ralph Gattuso in Wilmington DE in 1942. Unfortunately, Alice Loretta Calhoun Gattuso just died this last January at the age of 92. She had an amazing memory even up until her death, and she always had insisted that she had never met either her paternal or maternal grand-parents. This is odd, because John Joseph Calhoun's death certificate indicated that his last residence was at 835 North 28th Street in Philly, which is RIGHT around the corner from where my grandma, Alice Calhoun, lived with her father and mother, James J Calhoun and Mary Egan Calhoun, at 2636 Poplar!
I don't know if any of this helps you out in your own search, but I'd certainly be interested in hearing from you if you can shed any light on this Calhoun father/son duo.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Please transfer George W Clark's memorial to me

|Rhonda Edwards||Calhoun connection?|
Hello. I've been doing some research on my property and I am told (and have a newsprint copy) of a story about a fire that happened on my land in 1953. Evidently the land was owned by Ezekiel Calhoun who died the April prior to the fire. His son, Eugene died of his injuries after the fire and the remains of a transient who died in the fire was never (to my knowledge) identified.
Anyway, just looking for more information on who this transient may have been.

Hi, I'm researching my family and came across information on Find A Grave on them. You posted flowers on Sgt Richard Aldworth's grave on the site and I was wondering if you are a relative? I believe his father, Richard and mother, Mary, were born in Ireland, but I thought he was born in Ireland also (I think it says Phila, on the site). What little info I have on them says they immigrated to Philadelphia in 1846-47. I belive Sgt Richard was born in 1845 or 46 and his parents were married in 1845. I also have a record that says they had 9 children. No other detail. Please let me know if you have any information, or contact information of any living relatives. Thanks so much! Sally

I noticed you placed flowers on some of the Calhoun graves in the find-a-grave Pleasant Valley Cemetery - near Oakland MD. These persons were my grandmother's siblings -- are you related?
