My name is Cathy Schwartz Lukovich and I'm a cemetery walker and a genealogy newbie. I'm originally from St. Clair, MI, and I've been interested in my own ancestry since my mother took me on cemetery walks as a little girl, pointing out this relative and that one and instilling in me a passion for remembering and documenting the past and all those who shaped it. After visiting the F.a.G. website and taking several virtual strolls through the online cemetery I've come to realize that everyone deserves a remembrance. Whether they've come from humble beginnings and lived hard, frugal lives or been blessed with comfort and wealth; whether they've lived long storied lives or short, seemingly insignificant lives -- everyone has a story. The people remembered on this website are woven into the fabric of our collective existence, they've created our pasts, molded our futures, and they're the backbones of our families. Each and every one has known and shown love, happiness, heartache, and pain, and their lives all had meaning and purpose. I will do my best to honor their memory, and I'm grateful to all of you who contribute and do your part to keep the memories alive. We owe it to those who have passed before us to document their existence for those who come after us, so that they may know from whom and from where they came.
I'm currently researching the following surnames --
I just happened upon one of your memorials and read your profile. You have the same values regarding Find A Grave as I do. Just wanted to compliment you on your approach and the respect that you project to those that are no longer among us.
Love it! There are always those who will look down their noses at people like us...I think this is a great inscription and I think you're are right, we need to remember the good old days of young love... PLEASE keep up the hard work for Find A Grave.
Jeremy Moore Cathy, thank you so much for your kind words on my friend's memorial. Jeremy was like a big brother to me, one of a kind. We are devastated that he is gone. He leaves behind a daughter, brother, sister, and ao many family and friends. He lost his battle with cancer, and the world is a poorer place without him. His memorial is a work progress, and I thank you for being so kind. You are such a wonderful person. My wife and I enjoy your memorials, and think the world of you. -Roy
The nicest A . . in town Hey,I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this persons memorial. You are totally on point about us getting a glimpse into the lives of a happy couple, who obviously had a sense of humor. I wish more people were like this. It is inspiring in it's honesty, and so sweet when you look at the entire stone. What a neat couple... that anyone would message you negativly is beyond me. Great photo and awesome bio. Two thumbs way up!!
