Bio and Links
Bio Photo My first experience with family genealogy was 1978, shortly after my paternal grandfather died. After exploring my family as far as I could and no real knowledge of how to research my family I put it aside for another 8 or 9 years. When Jim and I married in 1986 we began a discussion about genealogy and found we were both very interested in it. By then more and more people were exploring their roots. I'm not sure how we discovered the many wonders the Fort Worth Public Library and Regional National Archives had to offer, but once we did there was no stopping us. Only 30 miles away we made a trip to one of them every weekend for many years. Now we do our research in the comfort of our home, spending many, many hours combing the internet for clues to those elusive ancestors. We have always loved old cemeteries, at one time spent countless hours helping clean the local abandoned cemeteries. We don't do that now that our cemeteries are perpetually cared for by the Johnson County Cemetery Association. During that time my husband and I researched and ordered about 32 CSA tombstones from the government for Balch Cemetery. There are more that have not been added, so let me know if you find one in the cemetery.

Two very special children from my hometown that should be remembered, but have been forgotten until now.

Two beautiful little girls from our area who were abducted from their homes and murdered. Hope you will take the time to visit their memorials. Because of the work the family of Amber Hagerman did in years to follow most states if not all states have the Amber alert that is sent out when a child is missing.

RE: Lori
Not being rude, but I was born into the family and I can tell you things from the past that you probably don't know, because my mom is Raymond's baby sister and Jim's great aunt. Annette was my cousin as is Betty Lou and GeorgeAnn. Known the entire Brown family all of my 47 years since the day I was born.

Samuel B Cosby # 33208989
Hi I noticed your tribute on this memorial and was wondering if you know if this Samuel B Cosby is the son of James R and Ermin C Blakely Cosby? Samuel who was their son was born in GA in 1860. James was killed at Gettysburg and the location of his grave has recently been discovered. If this is the correct Samuel, I would like to link him to his father's memorial which is Find A Grave Memorial# 137384252

Best regards
Laura

Thank you for that unique and creative animation you put on my father-in-law's memorial! That carpenter even reminds me of him. Blessings!

My heart skipped a beat when I saw it. Did you make it just for him? There are so many accomplished, caring people on here, I appreciate every one. I'll save it to add to his flying page in our family memory book. :) Thanks, Darla

RE: Chales Haskell
Thank you for your response. That is so nice of you to create a virtual cemetery to honor the Alamo Defenders. I just found out the other day that great great uncle died at the battle at Goliad, which was part of the Alamo battle. He was Charles Ready Haskell and his supposed cousin, Charles M. Haskell died at the Alamo.
Thank you again,
Susan

Charles M. Haskell, Find A Grave Memorial# 8895176
In searching for more information regarding Charles M. Haskell, we ( my mom, sister and I) noticed you left something under the Leave a Note or Flower section on his memorial. We are wondering how you are related to him. We are trying to see if we connect to him.
My mom is:
Theresa M. Clement Hansen Ekins, daughter of:
Albert Pike Clement and Mary Theresa Enderlin, grand-daughter of:
John Dabney Clement & Martha Trigg Searcy, great grand-daughter of:
Robert Searcy & Mariah Jane Haskell, great-great grand daughter of
Joshua Haskell & Nancy Ready. Do you have any information that might connect this family?

Thank you,
Susan LaVonne Meyer
