Oct2013: School work has gotten me flustered so I may be slow to respond at times. |
I get a kick out of posting photos knowing(or hoping) that one day someone searching on the internet might run across a photo of a marker that I have taken and smile. I create memorials from time to time for somewhat the same reason, usually going by the information in the photograph.
While I used to be a photo volunteer, that has pretty much come to a halt for now. I do however, search weekly for requests that are already in my files and haven't been posted yet and occasionally make a trip to a cemetery if I am feeling up to it or have to go by there for one reason or another.
IF I POST A PHOTO OF A MARKER ON FINDAGRAVE, THEN AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED; I GRANT PERMISSION FOR ANYONE TO USE THE IMAGE(S)FOR A NON-FINANCIAL PURPOSE OR GAIN. If you want a higher resolution for prints or even a coffee mug(I've seen it done), just leave a message with an email addy and I'll send a higher res. photo.
I also do not have a problem with taking down a memorial that I have made for someone, if asked. Death is a tricky subject for a lot of people and differing opinions on what is appropriate is always a factor when creating an online memorial.

I was so thrilled to find this grave stone photo taken by you. My grandfather was the chauffeur to the Crimmins family when they lived in Cobh, Co Cork, Ireland. I have recently discovered a collection of their family photos which I should love to send to their relatives. If anyone can help me please contact me on email@example.com Thank you

I do not know if you can help but someone is looking for the Sabin family in this area. The list I have are not complete. Do you know of any cemetery's near Sheepscot Lake? She said Thomas Saban had a stone quarry near the head of Sheepscot Lake. Was wondering if any cemetery's may be near there.
I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for all you do! I've found many photos of headstones I've searched for that have been photographed by you!
I took a trip to Maine (from Wisconsin) last fall but 2 days was not enough to photograph all I wanted to do.
This morning I've found Horace Knowlton and family at Webster-Knowlton Cemetery in Swanville.

Right. Thank you. I did, but I'm sure it will be a while before any change is made.

Many thanks for management transfer, but more especially for having 'created' it in the first place.

I think I've found out where Samuel Heywood, Sr. is buried! It seems there is an obituary--haven't seen it yet--that says he is buried in Howard Cemetery, Winslow, Maine! Can you check? I'd be more than ever obliged to you...
Many thanks, Charlet Emery Roskovics
