Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a fairly recent enthusiast of cemetery photography. I suspect becoming a site contributor and photo volunteer was inevitable.

I live in the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee. My involvement in the Society for Creative Anachronism (the "SCA") means that I travel to other states - notably Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

When possible, I now "fit in" cemetery photography sessions while away from home.

Most of the memorials I have made are for people I am not related to. They've come about from picture-taking adventures and subsequently learning that no memorial existed. When appropriate, I add photographs to existing memorials.

A good number of the memorials I manage but did not make are my family. Some were created before I came along and were kindly transferred to me by other contributors who are not related to them. Others originated from the U.S. Veterans Affairs Office and were transferred to me by Find A Grave Administration.

A couple of memorials I now manage are of non-relatives for whom I suggested rather extensive editing based on information I had gathered ... and the non-relative originator chose to transfer management to me.

If you find that one of your relatives has a memorial made by me, I'll be happy to transfer management - WITHIN the 4-generation direct relationship guidelines as given in the Find A Grave FAQ. --->> Please do specify your exact relationship in the SAC! <<---

FAQ #162 states that the 4-generation direct relationships are as follow: "This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren."

Kindly DO NOT copy my photographs for use on other websites. Yes, I ***REALLY*** DO mean: DON'T post photographs that I have taken to Ancestry.com or to any other site.

Copyright for images posted to Find A Grave remains with the photographer, who in this case reserves the right to not permit further sharing on the Internet.

Valentine photo request
I posted all the photos of the Valentines that you requested on Find A Grave. Their location at Westminster Memorial Park is: 19F-529. (Block 19 is known as "Meditation".) I hope you like the area photo I took. I was not able to find Sarah Bethume in vicinity of the Valentine burials. Leon

RE: Edward Valentine
I will look for your additional requests when I go to the Westminster Memorial Park next Sunday (12/7)or Monday. I can only claim 6 requests per month as the Cemetery is not helpful to Find A Grave Volunteers. So only if I find those graves, will I be able to claim them. I already have the location for Edward Valentine, so I will fulfill that and also Marguerite if she is near. Leon

Edward Valentine
You are the creator of the memorial for Edward Valentine, buried at Westminster Memorial park in Westminster, CA. A request for the photo of his headstone (along with his wife Marguerite) was placed on Find A Grave by G.Peterson #47181532. I just claimed the requests. On Edward Valentine's memorial you state, "Cemetery telephoned for plot information". Did you ever get a response from the cemetery as to the location? If not, I will attempt to get that information. But if you already have it, that would help. Let me know. Leon

Memorial #93745672 correction
Please correct the listing for memorial #93745672 clyde Mitchell McCallum. Clyde's grave site is Memorial #61835062 in Dasher, Ga. Your photo was taken before names were placed on the graves in the McCallum lot at Bass Methodist Church in Macon, Ga. The photo is the grave site of Charles Leonadus McCallum, father of Daniel Mccallum. Charles was born July 22, 1872 and died June 18, 1949. I will post a picture of the grave with this information as soon as possible. Daniel is my wife's father and Charles is her paternal grandfather.

Cora Koons
Good news, I called Riverside and they have allowed me to make an appointment to go and photograph Cora Koons' Crypt this afternoon. So I will take advantage of the opportunity and photograph as much as I can so I can get them all posted and save someone else from having to do this next time. I will let you know how it all goes.

RE: Cora Koons
The mausoleum is only open once a year during Halloween. It is a ghost tour they do, very nicely done. I have not tried to ask for permission to use their photos but I would think for the mausoleum they would be agreeable to usage. If not I might ask for permission to have access sometime to photograph the whole inside. I guess we shall see.
