To Preserve and Remember
You both are blessings!
I was looking for a relative and have no idea where he died. I had a hit on one of the memorials you created that looked promising but I'll need to do more research. I looked at your profile and some of the other memorials you have put up. I would like to say, may the Lord bless you abundantly for your work on finding and preserving history not just for yourselves but for others. It is people like you that brighten my days, lift my spirits and help to to keep on look and believing I will one day find the family members I am looking for.

Thank you!!!

Lyman W. Bryant
Greetings ! I'm hoping that you can connect this Lyman to whom I believe are his parents -
Lyman A. Bryant and Anna Ella Crippen Bryant .
Might you confirm this hunch??
Thanks, Jeff

Durand
I am a bit confused about the Durand resting places. There is a BIG private mausoleum at Mirarmar Lot 7 with the name Durand. Is this where they are, or inside the old mausoleum??

RE: Jennie C. Blatz connections
Oops. I don't know whether I sent you the wrong memorial number for the father, but it should be Find A Grave Memorial# 26992353 for Thomas Clark Steele. There needs to be a 3 added to the end of the number you used. I apologize if I sent the wrong number.
The medallion you found is very cool. Does it have a particular meaning with regard to his service?

Thanks.

Jennie C. Blatz connections
Please connect Jennie C. Blatz [I believe her name to be Jane Chess Steele Blatz] to her father, Thomas Clark Steele #26992353 and to her mother Catherine Bradt Porter Corbin Steele 30951917. Jane Chess was Thomas Clark Steele's mother and Jennie was named for her.

Please continue to manage this memorial, if you are willing.

RE: Gustave Gleichmann
Concerning Gustave's death record: did you view this in person or find it online? I cannot find a way to search LA county vital records online. California death index does not go back to his dates. Did you get a copy? 30 years, 11 months make his birth month April 1864.
Thanks, Mike

RE: Gustave Gleichmann
Yes I have seen that, and many others trying to solve the riddle of Gustave. There are lots of Gleichmanns living in Brooklyn in the 1860s-70s. But you have given me an idea that should be easy to investigate. I am also working with another FNG contributor on this. I will get back to you if we find something definitive.

RE: Gustave Gleichmann
What I know is posted on the memorial. Thanks for the death source. I will look into it. Establishing Gusatave's parents is difficult and the only source that I have right now is a Gleichmann Family Tree (not Ancestry) written by two Gleichmanns (not directly related to Gustave), one in the US and the other in Germany. They have given our family a copy of the tree, but no source data. I am trying to contact them to get their source data for the parents, but have yet to completed that. Gustave cannot be found in any of the census data for Adam and Fredericka, but there is a lot city directory data. But that does not establish family ties.
