Bio and Links
Bio Photo After retiring from the USPS in 1991, I got involved in genealogy to learn about the history of my family. I was a member of the FVGS in Naperville, IL for over 5 years. I assisted in recording burial records in Kane and Dupage County cemeteries and then was the editor of "First Methodist Church" in Aurora recording their history going back to 1850. While there I volunteered with the Aurora Historical Society to help in transcribing probate records from Kane Co., IL court records.
My wife, Karolyn [Kendig] and I met while comparing notes on my gr-gr grandfather Silas Reynolds in 1998. We had both lost our spouses earlier. She is also active in genealogy tracing family records for over thirty years. We happen to be 4th cousins and in 1999 decided to work together and published a book of our common ancestor "The Descendants of Benjamin and Anna [Cornell] Reynolds" in 2004. Since then we have continued our research and "Find A Grave" has been a great resource for remembering and displaying them to others. I only enter Memorials of relatives and I am willing to transfer some of those.
I appreciate getting suggestions that add to these Memorials and help to make them more complete.

Mem. #47711201
Asking the same for another Reynolds family member, Hubert Allison "Hub" Reynolds, Memorial #47711201 - permission to use both the bio and the pictures? I'm still researching the rest of Harrison Hyatt Reynolds family, so there might be others you've worked with also.
Again, much appreciated.

Hello Darrell...
I'm writing to ask your permission to use both the bio and the pictures you have posted for Corp. Harry Richard "Dick" Reynolds, Memorial #47714125. He is in my family tree, and I would truly appreciate it. I have very little on this line, and you've done such a wonderful job with the bio, etc.
Again, my thanks for your consideration.
Regards,
Linda Newbrough

Hi, Long story short, the cemetery info setup was not complete & the findagrave app did not register IOOF Davis City cemetery. Therefore my work uploading GPS coordinates could not register on the original memorials & created new ones. I didn't want to loose those coordinates & pasted them onto the edit page of Charles Sidney Elston & Audrey Vondene Elston. If you could accept the edits I can delete my memorials without loosing those GPS coordinates. Thank you for all the work you did posting memorials it is greatly appreciated.

Hello Darrell,
This memorial you created in 2010 is incorrectly listed as being located in the Seward City Cemetery. It is actually in Greenwood Cemetery in Seward just a few blocks away. You should change your location as there is already a picture for the gravesite that I posted on another memorial that was created- but your memorial was created first. So if you change the location, I will be happy to contact the manager of the other memorial to have it deleted.

Blessings,
Barb

RE: Pauline Guthrie
You're very welcome. I'm glad I could get the relation of all 3 graves in the one photo especially since Pauline's is unmarked.
Thank you for the honor of photographing for you.

Jacob Linderman - Iowa town
I assume it is probably supposed to be Bedford, Iowa, but I always leave the obits stand as published, however, I did add your comment.

RE: Rebecca Swigart
Ahhh..so true: Funeral notices do have errors. Case in point: I wasn't aware until too late to correct errors and omissions in my husband's funeral notice...which will make it difficult for the future. I'll correct those errors here on Findagrave when I add his bio. Thank You very much for your quick response and 'food' for thought.

Julia Putman
Thanks for working out the duplicate memorial on Julia Putman. Beth Bailey has posted her nice photo of the headstone to your memorial. My memorial has been deleted.

Thanks again,

Carl Steiger

RE: Duplicate for Julia Putman
You are right - these are two different women. Sorry about that! Since there is no death date do you know that "Nettie" was buried at the Moscow Cemetery, or would you like me to check?
Thanks,
Julie
