|I just like cemeteries and leaving flowers. Thanks are not necessary. If you're in my friends list, you probably have a virtual cemetery I want to wander. I came here to find Rhonda Lou Jones, buried in Britt IA. She is one of the memorials in my virtual cemetery "missed." The first person entered in "missed" was Mary Helen Swope, whom I was dismayed to find here. Tiny cemetery with fewer than 100 people? I'm there! Cemetery in an odd place (traffic circle, parking lot, median strip)? Love it! Abandoned/neglected cemetery with headstones centuries out of date? Cool! Cemetery I would most like to participate in clean-up and restoration: Old Trinity Cemetery, in the awesomely-named Bone Gap, Edwards County, IL. I visit it on environmentalgraffiti.com. They wrote an article about it: "Nature Reclaims an Abandoned and Forgotten Cemetery," in 2010. Cemetery I most want to see in person: Saint Francis Assisi Cemetery in Brainerd, MN. It's located in Crow Wing State Park--how cool is that? I learned of its existence via Amy C. Rea's blog entry for May 9, 2012. http://knitthink.typepad.com/flyoverland/2012/05/5-weeks-5-parks-5-ks.html. Most disturbing cemetery pictures: with CemeteryTraveler's article "The Watery Remains of Monument Cemetery." Cemetery I want to see before it disappears completely: Orphans' Home Cemetery in Atchison, Kansas. How I want my remains disposed of: Take my ashes and those of my beloved pet, put us in a Bios Urn, and plant us on the site of my childhood home. Add violet & viola seeds. Put up a field stone (we have enough of them around), engraving optional. Let the Bios Urn tree, as it grows, engulf the stone. Carving tree trunk optional. Never dig me up again.|

Thank you kindly for your offerings. I have added all to the Twins & Triplets Cemetery. Also, the family from Ohio - to my ALL Murdered Cemetery, So very tragic.
Your efforts are so appreciated!

In my last message, I said the cemetery overlooks the Crow Wing River.
It overlooks the Mississippi River. The Crow Wing enters the Mississippi downstream.
I hate it when I mess up!!!

The cemetery is high up on a bluff overlooking the Crow Wing River - great view. It was quite a climb for me as I'm not in very good shape, bad back. I had to stop and rest; fortunately there is a bench at the top of the hill and parking is at the bottom (a boat launch).

I managed to get the manager for Irene Marie Gross Schlegal, #126159330, to remove the memorial from Saint Francis Assisi Cemetery.
It may be good if you remove the flower you posted. It certainly has a unique meaning especially now that she made the memorial a Burial Unknown!
It won't make sense though IF she finds the correct cemetery. I think I know what cemetery Schlegal will be buried in and I'll check it out next summer. I have taken many grave photos at that cemetery. There are good indications that one is the correct one.
Thanks for your interest in Saint Francis Assisi Cemetery. Another cemetery located in Crow Wing State Park is Saint John Holy Cross Cemetery, a short distance away. I would like to get back to that one sometime, but the access is more difficult – interesting though.

"Thanks" may not be required but appreciation is always appropriate so...thanks for the tokens you left for the people in my virtual cemetery named above. I especially liked the image on my Aunt Mary's memorial # 111142158; it was a terrific token for a Native American. Wasn't she beautiful? The memorials in that VC change from time to time, so I hope you will visit it again in the future.
Feel free to use my info to make him a memorial!
