We have been doing genealogy since 1980, mainly our families, getting to know our past; and finding our cousins which we have found many and enjoying the new friendships... We RV travel the east coast and enjoy taking photo requests at cemeteries near campgrounds we visit.|
I will be more than happy to transfer a memorial outside of FAG's family guidelines unless they are a relation to me. I would rather the memorial be in a family member's care. That is what this website is about not about how many memorials you have added/have. Please request a transfer by using the edit button and please advise of relation. Thank you

I appreciate your help. I'm sorry you went out on a wild goose chase. I was almost afraid that this would be the case. I know that he's is there somewhere since he died in Elmira Prison. I've even tried to contact the Prison with nothing but dead ends. This other James Deshozo is related I'm sure somewhere. Since the name James was a family name. However, Eric who posted his findagrave, has yet to make any corrections or answer any of mine or my cousins emails for the last 7 years. So it's all Dead ends!. Other than the story and records that we have. The only thing I know to do is just delete my request, since there isn't a Death Certificate for him. Again thanks so much for your help.

Thanks for the info. This isn't my family but I'll maintain until someone wants a transfer.

Hi Patti... You're welcome!
no, I'm not part of this family. I've been working through two very old publications that have information that can't be found in other places. This information that you've seen came from one (or both!)of these sources.
My goal is to get all this documented on WikiTree, and cleanup what I can find that supports the information on F.A.G.
If you haven't been to WikiTree, you should give it a try. It's very confusing in the beginning, but if you start to use it to document your family, it gets a little easier. And you may find more information out there that you didn't have before!
I'm going to be putting together a little tutorial for another graver. Once I have it done, I'll send you a copy if you like. Just send me your direct email address.

Love the pictures!! Absolutely lets continue to stay in touch,
|Olivia Williamson Braddy||Boiling Springs Church Cemetery|
You have posted several memorials in the wrong cemetery. The ones listed in the cemetery book (which I assume you posted from) that are designated in "Boiling Springs Cemetery" should be placed in the Black section that is located behind Boiling Springs Church Cemetery. A fence separates the two cemeteries.

Sam Blackwell is my Great grandfather! I've never seen this picture and have to know more about it. I've been working of this family line for years. Please let me know if you have any additional pictures. Thank you! Sean

|Grave History||Cemetery Info Clarification|
I was wondering what you knew about Boiling Springs Baptist Church in Soperton, Georgia. I visited it today. I noticed another cemetery next to this church's cemetery. It was overgrown and not well-kept at all. In researching photos I took at both the well-kept and the not-so-well-kept, the not so kept ones are listed in both The Baptist Church Cemetery and others are listed in Boiling Springs Baptist Church. For instance, you have listed Barnell Phillips in the church's cemetery. I was just wondering how you got that info.
I have found one obituary attached to someone who is within a couple feet of Barnell and her obituary states she was buried in the Phillips Family Cemetery.
Thanks so much for your time.

Ernest is a Langford, but he was born a Brant

Ernest was adopted shortly after his birth mother died in the same year of his birth (1889). Her name was Theodosia Elizabeth Cope and she was born in South Carolina in 1859. She is buried at the Beaver Dam Baptist Church which is near Grays, South Carolina. Her gravesite does not appear to have a stone marker. There are a few wooden markers at the cemetery. My Uncle Ollie Langford may know of her burial spot.
Ernest's father, Richard Ransom Brant, moved to Screven County GA and remarried. His son from his second marriage, Euley, came to Grahamville, SC to visit Ernest in the 1950s. His father, Richard Brandt, died in Collins, Tattnall County, GA on 27 October 1921; Richard was the son of Henry W Brant and Caroline Kearse.
Richard's second wife was Anne D. Golden. Their son was Euley Sidney Brandt. Euley died 17 January 1975 in Duval, Florida. Ernest's daughter, Telie Rebecca Langford Malphrus, told me in 2013 of how Euley had asked his dad, Richard, if he could have a brother or a sister. Richard told him that he would see what he could do. They rode mule and wagon from GA to Langfordville (just outside of Gillisonville, SC) around 1902 when Euley was about 5 years old. They asked the Landgords if Ernest could come home with them and stay. The Langfords agreed. The next morning Sally was packing the bags and she started to cry. Ernest had lived with them for 13 years. Ernest got on the wagon and left with his half brother, Euley, and his paternal father, Richard. When the wagon rounded the first curve, Ernest jumped off and said "I can't go, I can't go." He then ran back to the Langfords which was the only family he had ever known. When Euley came to Grahamville some 50 years later, he pretended to want to buy a mule from Ernest. Ernest, being a skilled mule trader was not fooled by Euley- Ernest knew that the man was not interested in the mules. Euley then revealed who he was and they visited.

Thank you so much for transferring to me and for the compliments. I've linked J.B. to her and added another picture. Isn't that the most beautiful tombstone that you have ever seen in your life? I just love it. Again,thank you so much. You are so wonderful to work with. Wimsang
