Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born & live in Central Washington State. I had thought that my family was small but that has not been the case. Genealogy has taken me places that I could never have imagined. My family line includes Kobernik, Daily/Dailey, Bishop, Krider/Crider, Monninger, Foutz, Southward/Southwood, Swearingen, Hainline/Hanlein, Miller/Mueller, Guy, Waggoner, Ralls, Hart, Drews/Drefs & Griep. My Kobernik line comes from Germany and the others mostly from Fulton Co, IL; PA; MD; & VA.
I enjoy working on my family but also helping others to locate their ancestors. In 2012 I took photos of most of the graves at Terrace Heights Memorial Park, Yakima, WA. (A few of the temps cannot be read).
Please let me know if anything needs to be corrected, transferred (if not my family) or removed. You have permission to use any grave stone that I have posted. Happy Genealogy Hunting!

RE: Family at Tahoma Cemetery & West Hills in Yakima

I've finally convinced my mother and daughter to photograph our relatives. I believe I'll have photos this weekend. Thanks again for your support.

Thanks immensely. Find A Grave only lets you request 20 photos per week. I have been in contact with two of my relatives in Yakima and am trying to convince them to get out and take photos. Other than that, I'll hop in my car and drive to Yakima for a weekend to catch up.

Thank you for taking pictures of the graves of Gene & Erma Land. We really appreciate the time and effort you put into doing this for us. We live in the mid-west, and it is wonderful that the family here can see their grave stones on Find a Grave. Erma was my great-aunt.
Thanks again..........Fred

Sgt Edward Emil Ortloff
Good Morning Joan,

Thank you for the great grave marker photo for Sgt. Edward Ortloff. I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I am glad it was a military stone (thats what I was hoping for). I see in your bio that you are related to Swearingen, wonder if they were/are from Missouri? I too am related to Swearingen, (Swearingin, Swearingain) family (from Missouri). Again thank you so much for the photo.

Thank you!

Thank You much Joan. I so appreciate your help and understanding.

Jeanie was married three times and I didn't have information on any of them or who was the last one, Just guesses.

I was raised in Yakima from age 1 to age 11. My grandparents and my father's brothers and sisters were back and forth from California and Yakima.
My grand parents had a tourist Camp on the Yakima River. They also broke mustangs and sold them.

Hello Joan,
Thank you for your volunteer time and service.
I didn't quite understand your message as to why you didn't use the full headstone.
If you have a photo of the full headstone I would still like to see it.
The full headstone is the memorial for family memories.
It also possibly provides additional information that is helpful.
I don't know who else is on the memorial for example the name of the spouse at death, listed children etc.
I am looking for birth dates, death dates, possible marriage dates, hobbies, special interests, etc.
I hope you understand I do appreciate your time and service.

I have several family members buried in that cemetery.

Have a wonderful day!
