|Elizabeth Marlow O.||Irene Splawn|
Just passing on some info from the Find A Grave guidelines:
"Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.
"Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition.
"Find A Grave is a resource for anyone in finding the final disposition of family, friends, and ‘famous' individuals."
"Location of body unknown should only be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not yet known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days."
Not trying to really be a stickler or cause ill will but you really should not have made memorials for Irene Splawn until you know where she is buried. Find A Grave isn't a genealogy site for linking all known members of a family together. It's a place where people can come to FIND a GRAVE. So creating memorials that don't accomplish that goal really kind of defeats the purpose of the site.
There is a very good thread right now in the forums. It is located here:
I have way too much time and work involved in this site to go against their rules and possibly be banned.

Hello. Thank you for creating a memorial page for Annie. She was my grandmother. If you're not kin to us I would like to manage her memorial page.

Thank you for placing the memorial for my Dad, he was a wonderful person with a huge heart.
I wanted to ask if you were by chance kin to us? If so, please let me know as I have some questions about my GG Grandmother on Dad's (Norman) side. Thank you again & God Bless You.....

|kemu||duplicates - combined cemetery listings|
FYI - When Findagrave combined two listings of the same cemetery with two different names (Number Six Cemetery and Baggett Cemetery), duplicates can be automatically made. I dont go back and do checkups on everything I have done to see if duplicates are made when they combine listings, but I dont mind taking mine down if my work is later than someone else's. Keep that in mind, because it may not be a lack of someone doing an initial search, sometimes it's just a computer thing.

|Old Bwana||RE: Hovater Cemetery, Franklin County, AL|
Sorry, Molly - been having serious computer problems. I have some photos from Hovater Cemetery. Old, remote, family cemeteries like that one always have graves marked only by field stones. I'll send what I have as soon as I can.

|David ||RE: The Goins|
Thank you again Molly. I'm on the verge of getting Walter Jr.'s marker photographed I hope. William was tickled to read his family history. He said his mother never talked about family so this was fascinating for him. It seems like the Civil War pushed the Goins west from South Carolina and WW2 scattered the 3 brothers from Texas to Connecticut and Hawaii.
