Bio

First, let me say Robert is not my name. That would be one of my two half brothers. Mein nomen ist Robt, pronounced RRROOOObt. Those who know me call me Avon, just like the river, city, tires or cosmetics.

I am disabled, but not dead. I know what it is like to be unable to locate the resting place of a love one who has gone into the Great Mystery.

I was fortunate, because of Find-A-Grave, I was able to locate my Great Great Grandmother's grave site, and unlock the mystery of where my Great Great Grandfather rested.

Then with the help of a member here, I have been able to apply to the Federal Government to have a headstone place on his grave site, as he was an American Civil War Veteran. His grave has been unmarked for over 90 years.

I wish that I could do more than respond to requests. But, the medications I take, as well as physical limitations, only allow me to be outdoors for short periods of time.

I thank all who have created memorials for my family members, and will do my best to pay it forward.

UPDATE 05/25/2016: I apologize for being missing in action for so long. But, thee heart attacks, and add Diabetes to the mix, takes its toll. But, we will see if I can get back in action and see if I can fill your requests. RAM

UPDATE10/16/2018: FOREST LAWN, SLIDELL, LOUISIANA. This is a large cemetery. Their office has, expressed a concern for violating privacy laws and will not give the plot locations for individuals to me. It has been suggested that relatives submit their own requests for plot locations, then, forward them to me for memorial photographs.
