Bio Photo Retired military and living near Antietam battlefield.

IF YOU NEED FAMILY LINKS MADE, PUT YOUR REQUEST HERE. MY EMAIL ACCOUNT HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING SOME ISSUES. THANKS

ALSO...TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ASKED BELOW BY Dave Lehman (#47034421)....I HAVE NOT BEEN A "DICK" AT ALL IN MY LIFE. I HAVE BEEN TOO BUSY WITH 27 YEARS OF MILITARY SERVICE, OVER A DECADE OF CIVILIAN POLICE WORK....and putting a few times as many entries into Findagrave as you. As anyone can see I have not really had the time to waste any of MY life being...or calling anyone a "DICK", Dave.

If I have added a family member or a good friend, I am happy to transfer memorials. I am not bothered by F.A.G. guidelines in transfers. I am concerned about getting family members "back together." I DO transfer distant relatives since they SHOULD be with family.
I am also happy to transfer memorials of close friends as well as family.

REMEMBER, these sites are in memory of someones' ancestors. If you place a photo on a memorial, make it good enough that you would be happy with it on your own.

All men die...not all men really live.

I am looking for Charles & Flo Liddington. Flo died in 1972. Charlie was alive in 1974. They were my mothers' mother & step-father.
I believe they lived modestly within a half hour of Danville, PA. Also, I am searching for any info regarding the roster for the 33rdBattalion of the Maryland Militia. An ancestor I am searching for, Thomas Mock, who served with this unit in New Jersey in 1777 under George Washington. He had a wife names Sarah and parents were George & Catherine Mock. They were from "SUPPOSEDLY" living between Sharpsburg and Middletown, Washington County, MD.

John Paul "Pete" Easterday, a veteran
Hello Birdman,
I wondered if you might add to the memorial on Paul Paul Joseph Easterday that he was a World War Two veteran. According to the BIRLS file he enlisted on 5 Oct 1939 and he appears in the 1940 census as being in Wahiawa, Honolulu, Hawaii. I have note (either obit or family information?) that he served in Co. E, 35th Infantry, 25th Division and was WIA at Guadalcanal. According to the BIRLS file he was discharged on 13 Nov 1943, which might go along with his being wounded. He is a distant cousin of my mother but I have no direct knowledge of him. I hate to see a veteran's service (particularly one who was WIA and at Pearl Harbor) go unacknowledged and I realize that there is nothing on his grave to suggest his service when you did the memorial. I could add the above but as you are a veteran yourself and maybe can flesh the full story out even more, I thought I would contact you first. Thank you for all your great work on Find-a-Grave.
Regards,
HOWARD LANHAM

Davis in Bakersville cemetery
Thank you SO MUCH for taking and posting those pictures of Eliza and Annie Davis from the Bakersville cemetery! I live in the West and am in college so it would be very difficult for me to go there and take the pictures myself. Thank you again for the time that you spent to go and find those graves and get the beautiful pictures!!

Birdman,

WOW! I certainly agree with you about people and numbers and UGLY pictures.

Please link Oren J. Eagle # 67945240 to:

His Father: 21591660 Joseph Sethas Eagle, Sr

His mother: 21591880 Louisa Mae Davis Eagle

Thank you. Would you think of transferring Joe to me? I have some interesting information on Uncle Oren. Leaving you as the original contributor?

Sincerely,

Hi, I just want to tell you how much it has touched my heart to see the note with the puppy photo you left on my daughter's memorial (captioned above). She would have loved it as she was a great pet lover. She especially loved dogs and once she learned how to drive she would see a dog running loose and stop, pick it up, and bring it home! She worried it was lost and lonely. I would have to tell her to take it back to the neighborhood she found it as it would find its way home; which she would do after feeding and petting it first :) Memories are all we have now.
THANK YOU and Blessings to you,
Martie
