Semi-retired model railroader who has just discovered the addiction of genealogy. I live in South Saint Louis County Missouri, but I am close to Jefferson County Missouri and right across the Mississippi River from Monroe and Saint Clair Counties in Illinois.|
I most enjoy trying to link families together, finding out who are the parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents of various people I have discovered here. When possible I try to find obituaries at the library and copy them into the bio.
If I can help you, please contact me.

|Angels are real||RE: Willis Ray Hornbostel|
Hi. He was my step dad and is buried in St Paul's. It is ironicand disrespectful to my mom, his wife over 30 years. His kids probably meant well by inscribing the tombstone with death date...BUT...
Happy holidays to you and thank you for your support and assistance!

Since Oak Grove has worked so hard to clean up the cemetery and trimming around all stones and flats. This is a perfect time to snap photos before the leaves go crazy. Next Saturday the 22nd is good to try and snap as much as possible. Around 10 am. Not much is photographed there.

I have seen that also. If you submit a change, I assume that you have already done the research and all I have to do is make the change. If I think something is wrong, I do the easy think and transfer the management to the person requesting the change, then they can answer the questions. The vast majority of ones that I have entered are not my family, so I would rather transfer them to the actual family. I was going to send you an email today since I noticed that you took a lot of pictures of headstones at Jefferson Barracks. I started a personal project a year ago where I photographed the entire cemetery and now I am uploading them to Find a Grave. I use the Transcription program to upload these photos and the only problem is that it does not tell you if a headstone photo already exists, it just adds it. So you may see on some of your photos there is a duplicate of mine. If you want me to delete mine, just let me know which one

Hi I just read the obit for him. I hope you will add it to his memorial.
I was wondering if you could transfer my grandma's memorial to me. Her name is Glenda Evelyn Pretto. Also, you could transfer all the Prettos in Immaculate Conception cemetery to me if you'd like. I am related to them all on my grandfather's side. Thanks!

Thanks for the update. I have added your suggestion.

Thank you for your kind words! I taught at St. Mary's for one year before the school closed, so the Sisters have a special place in my heart. I add memorials for them whenever I can. Anytime you have information to add, please forward it. And of course, the offer stands. Anytime you see a memorial you'd like transferred, just let me know. I always transfer to friends and family unless the memorial is part of my tree!

|Jeffrey LeTempt||Duncan Stewart Fults Correction|
Thank you Michael for all the work you have done. Like you, I have got the genealogy bug...bad lately. I wanted to point out an error on the entry for my great grandfather, Duncan Stewart Fults. His father's information is correct, but the mother you have listed is actually his grandmother. It can be confusing with the Fults name because there were so many Jacob Fults. Duncan's mother was actually Caroline Kline-Fults. She lived from 1840-1929, but I cannot find anything on her on findagrave.com.
