Dear Find A Grave Member
We was wondering your position of transfer of memorials that fall outside the Find A Grave guide lines.
|JButlerEagle||RE: Martha Griffith # 69257841|
thanks for replying...I was able to a listing that shows Martha was much too old to be a daughter...plus in a different part of the cemetery.
|JButlerEagle||Martha Griffith # 69257841|
I am wondering if Martha Griffith could be the daughter of Johnathon Griffith # 35965399 and
Sarah Duncan McCullough Griffith # 35965417
Martha is in the same cemetery. I don't know if they are in the same section or not.
Johnathan and Sarah are relatives of mine that came from Penn to California.
Any additional information you might have would be useful. Thanks.
|FRANCES BEATON||Antonio Serena b. 10/26/1910 d 01/1912|
I noticed this death on find a grave for Thurber,
Texas cemetery. This was my father's brother who
died as a infant. He also had a sister and her name was Angelina Maria Serena b. July 10, 1907 and died 1909. I did not see her name on the
placque as shown on Antonio's record. I do not know if she was buried at this cemetery or another
close to Thurber. Are there other cemeteries in
close proximity to Thurber?
Thank you for your help.
|Serena Keech||Carmelita Martin #100964218|
Carmelita Martin was my 3rd great Grandmother.
Her full name was Carmelita Rutherford Bean Martin.
Her Father was Joseph Rutherford who died in the attack of the Alamo on March 6, 1836, his body was burned in front of the old chapel, along with the other defenders. Mother's name and burial place unknown. Said to be "Indian".
She was raised by Joseph and Delila Durst in Linwood community near Alto, Texas.
Her first husband was Samuel M. Bean. He died within a couple of years of their marriage, They had one son Joseph D. Bean, who died at Battle of Mansfield during Red River campaign.
She met and married William Martin in 1846. Theirs is the second marriage recorded in Cherokee County after it's formation. They had 5 children:
Charles Martin, Andrew Martin, Elizabeth D. "Betty" Martin, Helena "Lena" Martin (Dickey), and George H. Martin.
|Serena Keech||Sallie Norton Nelson #100813868|
Sallie Bell Norton, Barnes, Nelson was the mother of one son, Jack Barnes. Her first husband was Berry Barnes. They also had twin boys, but they died at a very young age and their burial sites are unknown. After her divorce from Berry Barnes, she married William "Will" Elias Nelson.
Berry Barnes is also buried somewhere in Mt. Zion Cemetery, but without a marker.
William Elias Nelson is buried in Providence Cemetery located between Rusk and Jacksonville, Texas.
Jack Barnes is buried in the Russell Cemetery in Rusk, Texas.
|dkg51||Marie Mauldin Pipkins|
Find A Grave Memorial# 92184706 I wonder where the maiden name Mauldin came from? I cannot find any records of her except under possible married name of Marie Pipkin (Fleming Marks Pipkin) and there is no headstone pictured. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you. Denise
