Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy locating "lost" cemeteries and doing complete surveys of them and other local cemeteries. I add as many photos as I possibly can as time permits or whenever I see a photo request. But first I add the person's name and dates so you know where your ancestor is buried. I tend to get involved in the people buried in the cemeteries and try to use my genealogy skills of over 30 years to link those buried to their loved ones. This is done to make it easier for researchers to locate family members.

SORRY, BUT I DO NOT TAKE A PERSON'S WORD FOR ANY EDIT INFORMATION. I RESEARCH FOR MYSELF AND THEN WILL ADD OR CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE FACTS. TOO MANY PEOPLE SEND ME "FACTS" THAT ARE FALSE.

I am happy to transfer your family and friends to you, as long as they aren't mine too. DO give me a REASON to transfer to you though! I AM A CARETAKER WHO IS ONLY WAITING FOR A FAMILY MEMBER TO CLAIM THEIR LOVED ONE. These graves belong to those who loved them, even if they never met in life.

✔ PLEASE NOTE!!!
Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown or a person from an incorrect cemetery into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my "duplicate". It is not fair that I spend my time, my gas, my $, hunt down owners of the properties, bee stings, ticks, poison ivy, and even risk to my life (bull in the pasture, scary men, and electrified fence-no snakes so far) to photo gravestones only later to find that an armchair F-A-Ger has placed a name in either an incorrect cemetery or has a burial unknown, finds I have actually found-the-grave, moves theirs to the correct cemetery and then expects me to delete my entry. I WILL TRANSFER my submissions after the incorrect entry is deleted. This way we both get credit and the person who makes the incorrect entry still has a memorial they maintain. I feel this is more than fair. This is in accordance with FAG rules! I refer you to Find A Grave rules: "In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location". Thanks for listening to my venting!

Happy hunting!

Hello,
Can you please remove your photograph on his memorial? It has been determined that he is not buried at Sunset after all and can not be located at any Flat Top Cemetery either, so I have changed his burial as "unknown" at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
Bev

re: RE: Raleigh Cemetery, Raleigh Co., WV
From what I recall, from Beckley you head down Raleigh Hill on route 3, and turn right on Sullivan Road just after the railroad bridge. Go on up Sullivan not quite a mile and turn right on Carl Vest Road. You follow it back maybe a quarter mile and Carl Vest takes a right turn, but you stay straight on Ozark Lane. There's a house on the right, and just after the house there's a lane on the right going back in the woods and the cemetery is there.

If I'm right, the location is: 37.751211, -81.162182

RE: re: Michale Lilly & Salem Primitive
If didn't live so far away I could spend a lot of time at Blue Ridge. I keep saying that I'm going to take a few days and go down there but when I'm down there for family reunions I'm no where near Blue Ridge and time doesn't usually allow for it. Plus I'm usually down there over a holiday weekend and the office is closed. They've been really kind over the phone with me. I appreciate all the photos you've taken for me since I've known you. I still have a few at Sunset but their office personnel is ridiculous!
Take care,
Bev

Michale Lilly & Salem Primitive
Hi lady, glad you are accepting messages again. Thanks for the pictures at Salem Primitive for me and also finding the errors on the Wood graves. There is always that one contributor that just puts people in any old cemetery without proof just because it "makes sense" that they are there. I appreciate you taking the time looking for the ones I requested, sorry there was some difficulty.
Take care,
Bev

RE: Raleigh Cemetery, Raleigh Co., WV
It is up Sullivan Road from Route 3. I remember writing down specific directions and as soon as I find them again I will post them. I want to say it is back off of Carl Vest Road.

We have some pictures we've never posted if you ware looking for anyone in particular. A lot of Sherry's family is there.

Hello Anne,

Thank you so much for the beautiful and clear photograph. It is truly appreciated.

I would like to put a copy of it in my Ancestry.com tree if that is OK with you.

Big favor to ask of you! Please consider linking the edits I provided to you on Lura Thompson after you review the records in the Sunset Cemetery in Beckley, WV. I have been trying to find this individual for over a year! Thank you for finding her. I was looking for Laura Thompson instead of Lura. I have been looking for the children of Jake Franklin Jarrell my great uncle. Now all of his children are complete. I am still looking for Jake's first wife though (Cecelia Hun Wills Jarrell). No trace of her. Anyway I hope you are able to make the links for me for Lura to her father and mother. Thank you Robin
