Bio Photo The human stories and history that can be found in cemeteries have facinated my husband and I for years. We are happy to share this facination with the Find A Grave community. Please contact us if you have any additional information to add to our memorials. Also, please feel free to use our pictures to enhance your family histories. A credit would be nice but not a requirement.

RE: Marlowe or Marlow
Thank you for sharing the marker photo with me - now I know it exists and have requested a photo for my memorial. I've also changed the spelling to reflect what is on the marker.

Thanks again,

Marlowe or Marlow
I have received you suggested correction for both Joseph & Frances Marlowe to change the spelling of their surname.

The spelling of my ancestors surname of Marlowe with or without the 'e' has been an ongoing discussion for many years. While there seems to be an equal number of primary source records to go either way, in this case I chose to use the 'e' as the only grave marker I was able to locate for this family in Mountain View cemetery shows that spelling.

I'd like to find their marker (if one exists) to put this issue to rest but I won't be back up in that area until late Spring. Even then, I don't have the plot location and I may not find them.

If you can provide a photo of the markers showing the spelling without the 'e', I'll gladly change my memorials. In the mean time I will make a note on both memorials of the alternate spelling citing you as the source.

Thanks so much for your time & efforts.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I do take adding links seriously and as can be seen from her Find A Grave page, I've received several request, but as I've explained I don't know who is correct. I will add your comments also.

Ira in Fairmont Cemetery
Hi - I see you added #121953533 for Eugene Ira 1926-Feb. 6, 1928 and #121953534 James Ira 1921-1921. My grandparents were living in Denver and my father, William E. Ira was born there in 1923. I believe these may be siblings. Are there headstones for these two? Wondering how the info. was obtained. Thank you, Karen Ira Tomes

Fred Mahrt
Hello - I received your email about Fred Mahrt sharing a stone with his wife Emma. Emma's inscription says "Wife of Fred Mahrt". She does share the stone with 4 of her children but I do not think Fred also shares this stone. Next time I am at the cemetery I will take a closer look at this stone to be certain I am including all inscriptions from all 4 sides. Thanks for the head's up. If he has his own inscription on this stone I will update his memorial page. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for locating my cousin's grave. It makes sense that he would be in this cemetery along with his mother and brother. I have made the appropriate adjustment to his memorial.

Thanks again,
