"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren".

"The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."
~Jim Tipton, creator of Find A Grave.

I will gladly transfer within the guidelines and am more than happy to make corrections and additions to those memorials which fall outside of the guidelines. If memorials I've transferred are stripped of the obit or photos, I won't transfer anymore to that person. I do not transfer "all" of any name. Please use virtual cemeteries for the purpose of collecting "all" your relatives.
Please use the edit key for transfers and
changes or corrections.

Photos I take may be used, no need to ask permission, but please give me credit, as FAG photo takers are volunteers who provide their own gas and time to go take photos. Please put "Headstone photo taken by FAG Volunteer, Kathy #47737776" in the description box. Thank you, in advance.

I include the newspaper or funeral home when mentioned for future relatives who are trying to build their family trees. Even though other FAG members feel it is an easy way to "beat me" to the obituary. Shame on you. If you don't have the time to enter more than the date born and the date they died, maybe you need a new hobby. Every persons life should be remembered for more than just a couple dates.
A name with "unk" "unk" for the dates is no memorial at all. My purpose is a full and complete memorial.
So often I see-"my photos are not to be used on paid sites like ancestry.com". FAG is owned by Ancestry.com and has been for several years now. This is what FAG says--Find A Grave is owned and supported by Ancestry. Our Terms of Service state that when you upload content to Find A Grave, you grant Find A Grave and its group companies the right to reuse that content on other sites in the group, including ancestry.com. Ancestry users may include information found on Find A Grave in their trees on Ancestry sites and Ancestry may show information and images from Find A Grave in their search or other areas of the site. This expands the reach of the information collected on Find A Grave and helps other members of the Ancestry Community who are researching their ancestors.
And as for duplicates--"Because so many people add data to Find A Grave, there are often duplicate cemeteries and duplicate memorials added. This is a very common situation and is quite difficult to resolve in a way that keeps everyone happy. Before adding a memorial, search the cemetery to see if a record with that name has already been added. If you are adding a memorial for someone who has recently passed or who does not have a physical grave or memorial marker in a cemetery (perhaps their ashes were scattered), please do a general search on Find A Grave (do not enter a location) to see if a memorial has already been created for that person. If you find a memorial has been added but has incomplete or incorrect information, instead of creating a duplicate memorial use the tools provided to submit corrections, additions or a transfer request via the "Suggest A Correction" link under the 'Edit' tab on the upper right of the memorial. Never deliberately create a duplicate memorial". To me this means, send an edit, do not just make a duplicate. FAG has enough unintentional duplicates!

A Family Who Loves Genealogy
Cheery Hello Kathy!
Mildred's mother's maiden name was Lanning.....not Manning. Her parents are buried near her as well as her sister Ida Belle.

I have added the 1880 US Census from Green, Sussex County , New Jersey to Alice R Lewis profile.

I have sent several edits to Karen who has input most of this family in this little cemetery. From her write-up upon her profile, she appears to be quite busy and might not have a chance to process the many edits I have sent her way. We may have to wait a bit. Here is that URL link so you can take a look at Mildred's mother Alice R Lanning when she was a little girl with parents Alonzo and Elizabeth.

Thanks ever ever so much for your help. I am still baffled at my good friend's husband leaving her headstone with the wrong date on it...smiling!

Take care and hugs of appreciation sent your way!

Ok I added the death date. There are several years used for her birth so I have only included the month and day

You asked me to check her birth and death dates, but I am not sure what you want.
Please explain more. The tombstone speaks for itself and all the family links were added by someone else.

I'm sorry that you declined to add his birth and death information from his death certificate. If you look closely at the photo of the stone I believe you can read that the year is 1928 rather than 1929, which agrees with the death certificate. Thank you for your consideration.

Thank you for the edit and for all of the work you do here at Find a Grave maintaining these memorials. It is a lasting gift to so many people.

RE: Michael Anastase
You can ignore Kathy. There was an infant, Wesley Anastase born & died in 1938, that was linked to your Michael J Anastase in Calvary born in 1930. That link was corrected by the next morning, linking to a Michael J Anastase born in 1914 in Willwood, so if you are just looking at it now, my edit tab message would not make sense. Normally corrections don't happen that fast. It's all good. I should have sent you an email to ignore. Sorry.

While I appreciate your enthusiasm as a contributor to Find-A-Grave, your desire to increase your memorial numbers before my aunt is even buried is disturbing.
