BEATITUDES OF THE FAMILY GENEALOGIST|
Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, for they tell the story of their time.
Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, for this provides proof.
Blessed are grandmothers who preserve family Bibles and diaries, for this is our heritage.
Blessed are father who elect officials that answer letter of inquiry, for some, this is their only link to the past.
Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, for one of her children will surely remember.
Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, for them we owe the family history.
Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, for theirs is a labour of love.
Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."

|Patricia McBride Alexander||THANK YOU!!|
Thanks so much Shirley, for the transfer of Herbert Alexander. I promise I will take good care of him.
Thanks for all your hard work. It's people like you that keep us all together as a family.
|Mark A Culpepper||Richard Addison Graham|
The Weston HS Alumni Association is researching the history or our school. In 1883, a school that preceded our school was taught by a Professor Graham. Richard Addison Graham of this website may be the teacher. We have some recollections that describe a Mr. Graham teaching at several schools around Weston, Louisiana in Jackson Parish.
Other information (such as a biography) to help us document R.A. Graham's teaching career here would be very helpful. We now only have a 1870 census (that describes a school-teacher RA Graham) and the recollections (without Mr. Graham's initials) that three people wrote.
If there is no other info, we would still like to publish the photos on your website or a link to your website (with your permission, of course-- credit will be given). We can reciprocate by sending the recollections about Mr. Graham.

Do you know how to reach the office and records of Old City Cemetery in Monroe? I called the number ending in 2415 and I get a message telling me to enter a mailbox number. The message does not identify the number. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If he's the only Alexander you're related to, would you mind transferring him to us?
I hope to get to see that cemetery next year. My SIL was just there and took a lot of headstone pictures. I love this part of social networking. Finding more family is always good!!
God bless you,

|Haley Lauderdale||Request for a photo?????|
Hello Shelley Wells!
My name is Haley Lauderdale and I am writing for a request to take a photo of a woman dearest to my heart that I just located at Forest Lawn Memorial in Ball, Louisiana. I am not sure how this all works, but am willing to try my best! She is my once long lost grandmother and I would appreciate so greatly to have a photo of where she is buried. I am located in georgia and haven't been to see her since. I don't know a time where I can go and find her myself. So a photograph would be so helpful and sentimental, just to know where she is buried there and to maybe have some comfort from so far. Her name is Ruby Lee (Smith) White. Her birthdate is November 1, 1952 and date of departure is Feburary 24,2005. Online her grave number tells me it is # 58281311
If you want to email me, call me whatever you may need please feel free to contact me. My email is email@example.com
And also thank you for helping others out too!
|Brenda Custer Randall||RE: Re: Emma|
Some of the things get really confusing, so thanks for your help in making it easier for these families.
|Brenda Custer Randall||RE: Re: Emma Alexander|
Sorry that my email to you was not clear. I asked that you correct date of death. Then I tried to explain about the duplication, meaning to say that I'd asked the OTHER person to delete theirs since it was posted 2012 and yours was 2005. The other one has the complete obit so I thought there might be something from that which you'd like to include to yours.
Apologize for the confusion. My eyes are beginning to cross after couple of hours on this site!
