Bio and Links
Bio Photo We have learned that walking the cemeteries and taking photos are more accurate for adding data

I am happy to transfer if they are family. P,ease use edit tab for changes.

Four years ago we started using Find a Grave and just was out there looking for relatives. It is not a numbers game for me. It found us roaming around in cemeteries trying to locate my ancestors. We have been doing many memorials of people in many cemeteries. If you see someone that is your relative please ask for a transfer. We mostly have been in cemeteries in Webster Co, Hopkins Co Ky Recently we have been doing many Posey Co Indiana Cemeteries. I hope we can make a difference for people interested in locating their family. We long ago decided that inputting names from a book from libraries or other sources are subject to inaccuracy. You have to do the actual walking in the cemeteries to confirm dates and names and families. We take managing memorials seriously. If you want the memorials, you tacitly accept the responsibility of editing them.

My family lines are Foster , Egloff. Sanders
Lively ,Maag Huskey ,Cobb and Cates.

Thanks to my husband Milton Yuan for developing my family genealogy website I want to share the link with you It will link my family and ancestors and added pictures that have been collected and shared with anyone interested in the Foster/Egloff/Lively/Maag family

In the event that i am unable to continue to manage my memorials. I want my husband will manage my memorials.

Linda, thanks. I see Foster in your family lines. My best friend at Memorial HS was Ray Foster. Any relation?

You posted a photo to the above memorial. However, the photo does not match the person in the memorial. First name and dates are totally different.

Hi, This is a very large cemetery (to large to walk with out information) Could you please contact the Woodlawn Memorial Park office- Phone: 407-293-1361 to retrieve the Plot/Section information. I would be happy to take photo for you.

That should keep him busy for a while. Maybe he will then get to his requests for transfers and changes. though I think the new Find A Grave procedures for updating records may have helped some.

Then I wonder if he will correct the thirty some thousand incorrect dates of death.

Think he meant well. I hope this the only cemetery he messed up.

I quit corresponding with him some time ago. Thanks for the update. Maybe Find A Grave caught up to him.

Even was given the name and email of a Find A Grave employee to try and deal with it and she couldn't get anything done. And I discussed it at length with the gent in charge of the cem who had created the original database that was on line. He felt it was easier to acquiesce than try to correct it but that still wouldn't correct the DOD's.

Thank you so much for taking the time to locate and photograph the memorial for me it is greatly appreciated. I would like to ask your permission to use the nice photos you took (with proper credit) for a WWII project I am working on, I hope you will not mind, please let me know if OK. Thanks again for all your efforts in fulfilling my request, Cheers

Thanks you for working on getting this mess corrected! I pointed this out to Progbase and J Tipton about 4 years ago. The response I got was "oh, the old cemetery within a cemetery again". Like another member, I spent a lot of time entering my relatives in the correct cemetery, then this confusion. Like you this is not my local cemetery, (900 miles distant) I appreciate the work that everyone has done.

No, I didn't know that but I do remember my mom talking about someone dying in the war but not sure who she said?! :| My grandaddy died when I was only 8 and my grandmother died when I was 9. I wish I would have had more time with them to find all these things out about the family.
