Just as a FYI, I went inactive. I've transferred in the last two years or so roughly 30,000 managed memorials to responsible members to free me up.
However I am still leaving my contact information on for people that may wish to contact me for any reason. I intend to still be helpful if I can.
Larry (Lare)

I am a former Marine and a Vietnam Veteran.
I spent two tours of duty in Vietnam.
Not as lean. Not as mean. But still a Marine!

Thank You to all who have volunteered and worked so hard to gather all types of information, checking it's accuracy and hours of walking through cemeteries searching for and photographing grave stones. And Thank You for all the additions/edits and even the corrections, that have helped make the memorials I manage more accurate and complete.

I can only speak for myself and the photos that I have taken. I am giving my express permission for you to use my photos in any way you see fit in your family research.
I will try to never forget that am a volunteer out here, doing work for you, the absent family member.
I do not selfishly hoard my pictures under the selfish pretense of a 'copyright'. WHO in good conscience could ever selfishly refuse to share OPENLY the photo of another family's grave stone? I do not even have words to describe people like that.

If you run across any of my FaG memorials in 'PIONEERS REST CEMETERY' and the photos are considerably smaller then you are accustomed to seeing my name on in FaG, it is because I do work for another web site and they are being shared by the owner of that website and transferred by me with obituaries and other information to FaG from their web site. Originally they were posting them on their site much smaller due to the older camera equipment they had back then as well as the bandwidth limitations the servers offered when the web site began.

††Transfers††

Regardless if I created a memorial or if it was one transferred to me, do not be afraid to ask for a transfer from me if you have an interest. NONE of my memorials are in my family tree and I do transfer. I openly welcome and gladly transfer memorials upon request.
My personal transfer guidelines of MY memorials is very open. I like it when you are family of some sort because I believe no one takes better care of family then family. But you can be Honest with me because I also believe there may be other valid reasons for wanting a transfer. It may have been a close family friend, an old girl friend, a next door neighbor that was like family all your life or someone that played an important part in your life that you have respect for and wish to manage the memorial instead of me, a total stranger. Just explain your reason to me and I will more then likely transfer to you. I have yet to turn anyone down.

"Pet Peeve"
It puzzles me..... and I will never understand why people refuse to, or are even allowed by FaG not to, put on ANY contact information such as email OR even enable their public messaging on their FaG 'Bio' page. SOMETIMES people have a valid reason for wanting to contact them. FaG should make one or the other MANDATORY. The "ANONYMOUS" BS should not be aloud. They give absolutely no contact info, FaG should block their account from contacting others as well.

"Cemeteries"
A place where you search for ancestors, but you may dig up new friends!"

"Genealogy"
"Where you can confuse the dead and irritate the living."
