Hello and thanks for visiting my page. I started working on my ancestry in 2012. With a lot of help from my Aunt Leona and inspiration from my Aunt Pat to get started.

My parents were from Hutchinson, Kansas, where I was conceived. I was born in Kansas City, MO. My parents' families are from humble farming folks and of mixed backgrounds. Uncovering my ancestry has been very interesting and exciting for me. I moved to central Tennessee from Virginia in Oct 2016 and am enjoying living here.

I was not really expecting much, but have been surprised to find that many of my ancestors had their roots in early colonial Massachusetts and Connecticut. Among them were 8 Mayflower passengers, 24 of the founders of Hartford, CT, governors of colonies and founders of other towns in MA and CT. Many were Puritans, including victims of witchcraft hysteria of Salem, MA and Hartford, CT before then. Others were Quakers, Swiss-German Mennonites, Norwegians, the original Dutch settlers of Long Island and Sleepy Hollow, New York. A few of their lineages are traceable back to nobility and royalty in England and other countries. I have many ancestors from the Revolutionary and Civil War, as well as some from the War of 1812. Some of them suffered a great deal of brutality during native raids on Groton and Haverhill, MA in the French & Indian War.

This is fun hobby for me, not a competition. I do this for my own entertainment and to help other people. I have no problem with anyone using my photos for their own purposes. Please feel free to use them without asking permission - that's why I take them. I don't understand people volunteering to take photos for this site and then not freely sharing them with others. This is a cooperative effort for me to help and share with others. I tend to like to take on difficult assignments of historic cemeteries in my area, but will also do some for family members, etc.

I thank other members and volunteers very much for their help to me. Find-A-Grave is a wonderful website. I'm a musician, work full-time with individuals with special needs and tend to have my "irons in a lot of fires". I get overwhelmed with things sometimes, so I may be slow to respond if you contact me (apologies in-advance), but I will make my best effort to do so.
