I am researching African American families. Dixon/Dixsons, Flacks and Barnetts in Person Co. and Buncombe Co., North Carolina; Twymans from Virginia to Versailles, Woodford Co. Kentucky; Browns in Versailles, Woodford, KY; Reeds, Turneys & Carters in Bourbon Co., KY and Taylors in Mercer and Jessamine County, KY. Also, Reeds in Harris Co. Texas that originated from Bourbon County, KY.

I add memorials in the hopes that someone might find a connection to their roots and memories of people from the past. It also gives people a chance to "visit" their loved ones final resting place; where in many cases, they could not do that physically due to distance, health issues, time constraints, etc. No disrespect is meant in the creation of any of these memorials.

Please keep in mind those of us who contribute to Find A Grave do so VOLUNTARILY. This is a hobby and done solely for the purpose of freely assisting people interested in doing research of their family history and/or genealogy.

If any family member of a deceased sees errors in information or want to transfer ownership of a Memorial that I have posted, please let me know and I will gladly do so.
