I served as commissioner on the Texas State Library and Archives Commission for 6 years. I was the Director of the Legislative Reference Library located in the Capitol Building, Austin, TX. for a number of years.

I also serve on the Board of the Trustees of the Texas Maritime Museum and a member of the Genealogical Society of Aransas County, have served on the Aransas County Historical Society as Secretary and the Board of Directors of the Friends of the History Center of Aransas County and the Aransas County Historical Commission.

Genealogy and history are true passions of mine and I have never lost my desire for research.
