Bio

I was born in southwest Iowa and currently live in a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. Both sides of my family have strong "roots" in Fremont and Page County, Iowa, which is where I've taken the majority of the photos I've added to FindAGrave. Civil War veterans in SW Iowa and the 4th Iowa Cavalry are recent interests.

Simply taking a picture of a headstone is difficult for me. I use various sources to fill in the dash between the dates. If I've made mistakes feel free to send me corrections, or additions. I know that exact dates and places of birth and death, family relationships, obituaries, burial plots, etc. can be important sources of information. I will add information to any memorial I've created. I am more than willing to transfer memorials if they are not my relatives.

Feel free to retake and upload a headstone photo. Weather, time of day, peonies, etc. sometimes make a headstone photo difficult to read. Contact me if I need to delete my photo. I won't be offended.

Anyone may use any of my headstone photos from Find A Grave for their own family research.
