I'm Dave and used to be a heavy contributor to this site. Between a fire in my home, work, issues with my computer as well as my account here, and life in general; I have not contributed much over the past 10 years or so. Once I tried to come back here; I was overwhelmed by the amount of messages, edits, and transfer requests. I apologize, as I never meant to blow anyone off. I am trying to catch up now. My main areas of research is S. IL, especially Hardin, Gallatin, Saline, and Pope Counties. I do have a lot of research materials on the area. I live in Northern IL (Belvidere, Boone Co.). When I was contributing a lot; I would go down there 5-8 times a year. Now, once or twice a year is about the most I can do. My maternal surnames from this area are: Love, Hossler, Leonberger, Tinsley, Ashford, Denton, Greer, McPherson, & Karber; though it seems I'm related to just about EVERYONE from Hardin Co, and southern Gallatin Co.

My paternal lines are from Chicago and Germany / Poland and are: Wrzesinski, Grabowski, Zuchelkowski, Zmijewski, and Jarzembowski.
